PROGRAM DATES: JUNE 15-19 STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN ENROLLMENT DEADLINE: APRIL 30, 2020 NSHSS invites members from around the world to attend the brand NEW Nobel Summer Program! Participants will travel to Stockholm, Sweden for a week long program to learn about the legacies of the inventor and Nobel Prize founder, Alfred Nobel, and Swedish innovation and creativity. It includes meetings with professors on the Nobel committees and visits to renowned Stockholm museums. PRELIMINARY ITINERARY Sunday: Welcome to Sweden! Arrival Day- Pickups at Stockholm Arlanda Airport: Times TBD Meet and Greet: Meet the other NSHSS participants and review the week's activities Monday, June 15: Alfred Nobel & The Nobel Prizes Lectures on Alfred Nobel and the Nobel Prizes, the annual Nobel festivities, and the process of selecting a Nobel laureate at Stockholm University Meet with SU Professors on the Nobel Prize Committees for Physics and Chemistry Welcome buffet! Tuesday, June 16: Nobel Prizes in Medicine or Physiology Visit medical university, Karolinksa Institute and meet with Nobel Committee members for the Medicine and Physiology award Guided visit to the Nobel Prize Museum Dinner in Old Town Wednesday, June 16: Lectures on Global Challenges The global world: what you need to know about intercultural communication, the 2030 Agenda, and sustainable development Visit to Stockholm City Hall, where the famous Nobel Prize Banquet takes place every year on Nobel Day, December 10 Thursday, June 18: Creativity and Innovation Behind the scenes visit at local Swedish industry to explore creativity and innovation Visit to the Nordic Museum and its exhibition on the PRICING Arctic PRICING INCLUDES ROOM, BREAKFAST, LUNCH, Friday, June 19: Skanesn & Midsummers Eve Celebrations!
