Installing Visual Flagship for MS-Windows
First Steps with Visual FlagShip 8 for MS-Windows 1. Requirements This instruction applies for FlagShip port using Microsoft Visual Studio 2017 (any edition, also the free Community), or the Visual Studio 2015. The minimal requirements are: • Microsoft Windows 32bit or 64bit operating system like Windows-10 • 2 GB RAM (more is recommended for performance) • 300 MB free hard disk space • Installed Microsoft MS-Visual Studio 2017 or 2015 (see step 2). It is re- quired for compiling .c sources and to link with corresponding FlagShip library. This FlagShip version will create 32bit or 64bit objects and native executables (.exe files) applicable for MS-Windows 10 and newer. 2. Install Microsoft Visual Studio 2017 or 2015 If not available yet, download and install Microsoft Visual Studio, see this link for details FlagShip will use only the C/C++ (MS-VC) compiler and linker from Visual Studio 2017 (or 2015) to create 64-bit and/or 32- bit objects and executables from your sources. Optionally, check the availability and the correct version of MS-VC compiler in CMD window (StartRuncmd) by invoking C:\> cd "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio\ 2017\Community\VC\Tools\MSVC\14.10.25017\bin\HostX64\x64" C:\> CL.exe should display: Microsoft (R) C/C++ Optimizing Compiler Version 19.10.25019 for x64 Don’t worry if you can invoke CL.EXE only directly with the path, FlagShip’s Setup will set the proper path for you. Page 1 3. Download FlagShip In your preferred Web-Browser, open http://www.fship.com/windows.html and download the Visual FlagShip setup media using MS-VisualStudio and save it to any folder of your choice. -
Visual Component Library VCL Autor: I

Introduction The power engineering domain uses both models and classic methods of operational research and the most recent ones are based on artificial intelligence for solving a large number of optimization problems. In this context, this paper presents an optimization software library for the power engineering domain, to solve several applications. The programs use classic operational research methods dedicated for linear and nonlinear optimization problem solving and those specific to graphs theory. The software library synthesizes the experience accumulated in this field at the Politehnica University of Timisoara, Power Systems Department in Romania. -

Delphi 8 for .NET HOE WERKT DELPHI 8 for .NET EN WAT ZIJN DE VERSCHILLEN MET VISUAL STUDIO.NET?
Delphi 8 for .NET HOE WERKT DELPHI 8 FOR .NET EN WAT ZIJN DE VERSCHILLEN MET VISUAL STUDIO.NET? -

Why Is Borland Moving Towards Eclipse? by Mike Rozlog of Borland
Why is Borland Moving Towards Eclipse? by Mike Rozlog of Borland It is normally bad practice to answer a question with a question, but read the article and find out why it is the perfect time to ask the following question. What is development? This is one of the most important questions being asked at Borland. Development as defined by the dictionary states: it is a noun that has synonyms including evolution, augmentation, and maturation. Taking the definition of development and its synonyms and applying them to the question of "Why is Borland moving towards Eclipse?" reveals answers that many people may not have thought about. First, it is always important to understand the history behind a current position. Take for example an auto race. Usually the winner is not the person that initially leads from the starting position; it is a person who has made important adjustments throughout the race to put them into the best position to win. Now, this is not to say that a poleleader can not win the race, it just means they have to make other adjustments throughout the race to also put themselves into a position of winning it. Understanding that analogy, it is no wonder why Borland is going to start to use Eclipse as a customer facing technology. Keep in mind that Eclipse is not just a JBuilder issue at Borland; it will be used in various areas that have interaction with the customer. However, it is important to understand the background of JBuilder and put it into perspective of why it has been very important over the years, for supporting the Java platform. -
