A Bloody Storm. Only extreme measures would keep Merissa safe—alive. Castle , What was a bit of a surprise was how little of the book seemed to focus on what happened to her and how much was fluff as to how great Heat and Rook are together. Seems like a disconnect with the scenes, and no where an explanation is given to show that Heat and Rook left the police station and found another lead when they further investigated. It explains the science behind sound, how it can be measured, recorded and stored, what happens in a recording studio, and how our ears hear sound. Apr 29, Tschanen Brandyberry rated it liked it. Until his embrace became her prison…. What the hell was that? Maybe it's because there has been a huge gap between the book previous to this one, but this didn't give me much satisfaction. Revolution in the High Castle: Interpretation & the Political Implications of Hope Abstract This essay explores the politics of Amazon Prime's The Man in the High Castle by focusing primarily on how the series deals with the politics of hope, as well as how certain events in the narrative condition or exclude certain potential interpretations. The crux of the argument here is that the show tends towards a revolutionary conclusion, despite also bearing the marks of the depraved society this work emerged within. • FORWARD the Mayor and Council of the City of Castle Rock Welcome You to Develop in a Community Dedicated to Maintaining a Qualit
FORWARD The Mayor and Council of the City of Castle Rock welcome you to develop in a community dedicated to maintaining a quality environment. Castle Rock’s Staff will work with you to create first class additions to our city. As staff, we believe that the best way to help you through this process is to meet with you prior to the development of plans and details. This document will show you our process and our standards. We feel that many of your questions will be answered here. While these standards are intended to apply to all projects within the City limits, they are also intended to be utilized in applicable circumstances where the City’s service areas, annexation areas or planning areas extend outside its limits. These standards can also be used for annexation agreements with the county. We attempt to achieve maximum uniformity of planning, engineering, and construction practices within the City of Castle Rock. These are minimum standards and are intended to assist, but not to substitute for competent work by engineering and design professionals. Special conditions or environmental constraints may require a more stringent design than would normally be required under these standards. It is not the intent of the City to unreasonably limit any innovative effort which could result in a superior project design. A proposed design which is different than these Development Guidelines will be evaluated on the basis that the proposed design will produce a comparable or superior result, and in every way adequate for the user, the City, and the public. This document may contain minor errors, discrepancies or omissions which will be corrected in future updates.

Journal of Literature and Art Studies, May 2016, Vol. 6, No. 5, 478-499 doi: 10.17265/2159-5836/2016.05.006 D DAVID PUBLISHING Jacopo Tintoretto’s Female Concert: The Realm of Venus Liana De Girolami Cheney Università di Aldo Moro, Bari, Italy This study aims to visualize Giorgio Vasari’s statement in discussing Jacopo Tintoretto’s Female Concert of 1576-86, now at the Gemäldegalerie Alte Meister in Dresden (see Figure 1). Two conceits (concetti) are considered in analyzing Tintoretto’s female imagery: (1) a fanciful invention of musica extravaganza; and (2) a Venetian allegory of bellezza. The first part of the essay discusses the provenance of the painting and the second part presents an iconographical interpretation of the imagery. This essay also focuses on the iconography of the painting based on viewing the subject and does not postulate on its iconography based on disappeared paintings or on a speculative decorative cycle on the theme of Hercules. Relying on well-documented research on music in Venice, on Mannerist practices, and on art theories during Tintoretto’s life, some intriguing observations are made about the painting. Keywords: beauty, music, iconography, alchemy, interpretation, mythology, muses, Neoplatonism, Venus “E vera cosa che la musica ha la sua propria sede in questa città” (“It is true that music has its own official seat in this city [Venice]”) —Francesco Sansovino Venetia città nobilissima (Venice, 1581)1 Introduction In Venice in 1566, Giorgio Vasari (1511-74), a Florentine artist and writer, met the Venetian painter and musician, Jacopo Comin Robusti, known as Tintoretto (1518-94).
