These are the words of the Colonel Commandant: "Lieutenant-Colonel Norman Bruce (Ike) Buchanan was a remarkable man - not only a soldier and Gunner of rare distinction but also, and this I did not appreciate, an exceptionally accomplished political leader and businessman. I believe that the Regiment, and Canadians as a whole, should be in your debt for making his exploits better known and ensuring that he is properly recognized and memorialized. Inclusion in the Wall of Honour is a fitting tribute. Given his distinction as a Gunner, it is entirely fitting that the Regiment be strongly represented."

SH1 development began in 2002 after it was obvious that Caesar worked and was a useful and cost-effective battlefield system. The Chinese military, like their French counterparts, were dubious at first and did not place orders until 2017. In the meantime, export orders were obtained from Pakistan and Burma for at least 48 SH1s. "Next year, on June 6, world leaders will descend on the spot where 75 years before, 14,000 young Canadian volunteers successfully secured a foothold for our freedom. A PAGE FROM OUR HISTORY UNE PAGE DE NOTRE HISTOIRE Rogers' Pass National Historic Site Well it looks like the guns used to help Parks Canada with avalanche control are attracting lots of attention. Pictures above were submitted by Eric Manchester (1 Airborne Battery (RCA), Canadian Airborne Regiment) from his trip through to Edmonton.

I spotted a Vancouver Gunner eyeing up the guns (perhaps wanting to add to the museum collection?) as we drove east from Vancouver to Ottawa.

Of note, the guns and the plaques were put in the wrong order. Oh well, we figured it out.

The 15th Field Artillery Regiment Museum & Archives has recently had the good fortune of acquiring an 18 pounder for their collection. The early history of the piece is somewhat unclear at this time. It is hoped that the formation of this 18 Pounder Club will provide an opportunity for other Museums or organizations to share the history of the 18 Pounder that they own and for readers to gather information on 18 Pounders that they may come across in their travels (In Canada or Internationally!)
