Asande Projects has been appointed as an independent consultant to conduct the Basic Assessment of the proposed additional Meredale Water Reservoir which forms part of the Rand Water’s Eikenhof System. The survey revealed recent cement structures and concrete bases that were probably used for some industrial activity (Site 1). However no historical structures or remains were recorded. Please note that a cluster of Late Iron Age stone-walled settlements (Site 2) were recorded some distance to the south of the survey area.
