KOLO U Saint Louisu se održava 62. turnirski šampionat Sjedinjenih Američkih Država (u prošlosti se o tituli mnogo puta odlučivalo u mečevima). Posle perioda dvovlašća od 2009. do 2015. godine, kada je četiri titule osvojio Kamski, a još tri – Nakamura, u arenu su izašli „novi Amerikanci“: 2016. je pobedio Caruana, a prošle godine šampion je postao Wesley So.
