Network Sees Double-Digit Gains Among Core Demo of Adults 25-54

Nearly 1.4 Million Total Viewers Tune in to See The TV Land Awards: A Celebration of Classic TV

New York, NY, March 24, 2006 – TV Land’s fourth annual awards show, The TV Land Awards: A Celebration of Classic TV , attracted nearly 1.4 million total viewers for its Wednesday, March 22 (9:00-11:00 p.m. ET/PT) telecast. The star-studded special, held at The Barker Hangar and hosted by Emmy Award-winning actress and star of Will & Grace , Megan Mullally, saw double-digit gains among the network’s core demo – Adults 25-54 over last year’s TV Land Awards .

The TV Land Awards proved to be a full-blown homage to classic television with unforgettable moments including music superstar ’s live performance, Billy Crystal’s presentation of the “Pioneer Award” to Sid Caesar, Mary Tyler Moore presenting the Cheers cast with the “Legend Award,” honoring Batman for its 40 th Anniversary, Quentin Tarantino presenting Good Times with the “Impact Award,” John Schneider and Tom Wopat presenting with the “Pop Culture Award,” giving the cast of Grey’s Anatomy the “Future Classic Award” and Robert Downey Jr. presenting Hilary Swank with the “Little Screen/Big Star” award.

Among TV Land’s target Adults 25-54 audience, the telecast earned a 0.7/651,000 viewers, up +17% in rating versus last year’s awards show. The network also saw a +12% rise in delivery among 25-54s over the 2005 Awards. Among persons 2+, the network averaged nearly 1.4 million total viewers.

TV Land also asked viewers to log on to tvland.com and vote for a variety of fun categories including “TV’s Greatest Music Moment” and “Little Screen/Big Star.” The winners were announced and presented at The TV Land Awards . Since the telecast on March 22, there an 80% increase in unique visitors and a +150% increase in page views over the prior 4 weeks on tvland.com for the website’s “All Access Pass,” which was hosted by Tom Arnold. “All Access Pass” offered viewers over two hours of exclusive video footage not seen on-air including a commercial jingle performance by Megan Mullally, as well as games, trivia, celebrity interviews from the press tent with special correspondent Kermit T. Frog and more. Over the last two days, nearly 70,000 videos have been viewed. The culmination event was the website’s first live video chat with Tony and Emmy award-winner Bebe Neuwirth ("Lilith" on Cheers and Frasier ) as she sat down with TVLand.com and chatted with fans.
