Virat, Rohit, Shikhar, Hardik and Jadeja have made a mark already and the young firepower needs to come in to take this team to the next level. The bowling department has some bright prospects. Khaleel Ahmed, Deepak Chahar, Navdeep Saini look promising and India need to look after them so that they develop the way Bumrah has. These guys, with time and maturi- ty, will see Bumrah, Bhuvi, Shami as their role models and this will be a healthy sign for Indian fast bowling.     On behalf of Cricket Australia, I welcome all players, parents and families to this year's Under 19 Male National Championships. Cricket Australia’s Underage National Championships are an integral part of the Australian Cricket Pathway, and continue to provide important development opportunities for our emerging stars. These championships have been the largest contributor of talent to the men’s national team since their establishment, and have helped the likes of Australian captains Tim Paine and Aaron Finch rise from young guns to international leaders. We have already seen a group of players make the step up to JLT Sheffield Shield cricket this summer, after playing at last season’s Under 19 Male National Championships. In the first half of the season, Jack Edwards and Jason Sangha have made their debuts for New South Wales, as has Lloyd Pope for South Australia and Nathan McSweeney for Queensland. It just goes to show that the next level is not that far away. To all of our players, this is an exciting phase of your sporting journey and I encourage you to embrace this experience. Dal 4 all’8 settembre, infatti, andranno in scena le Finals del World Tour 2019; ultimo appuntamento della stagione internazionale che vedrà scendere in campo le migliori coppie al mondo. Sulla sabbia capitolina ci saranno in palio fama, gloria, un ricco montepremi e molti, importanti punti validi per il ranking olimpico. Il Foro Italico, riconosciuto universalmente da atleti e addetti ai lavori come una delle migliori location del pianeta, torna dunque alle luci della ribalta a distanza di cinque anni dall’ultimo Grand Slam organizzato nel 2013. Il primo ciclo di joint ventur tra Federazione Italiana Pallavolo e l’allora CONI Servizi SpA diede vita a un quinquennio di grandi eventi tra i quali i Campionati del Mondo del 2011 che sancirono la consacrazione in Italia della disciplina più seguita ai Giochi Olimpici. La rassegna iridata fece registrare numeri importanti in termini di partecipazione di pubblico; un boom che contribuì successivamente all’ingresso della pallavolo nel complesso sportivo italiano (2014 Italia-Polonia e 2015 Italia-Brasile di World League; 2018 l’esordio degli azzurri nei Campionati del Mondo sotto lo sguardo del Presidente della Repubblica) che ha così accolto nella sua lunga storia un numero sempre maggiore di discipline. L’attesa è notevole dunque per un evento che spera di celebrare un grande risultato in termini di pubblico, di seguito e sperando in una affermazione delle coppie italiane che mai sono salite sul gradino più alto del podio a Roma.
