Rüdiger Meilahn Rock & Pop Splitter (16) Splitter In den bisherigen Ausgaben dieser Reihe standen zumeist britische, US-amerikanische oder deut- sche Interpreten im Vordergrund. Irische und australische Rockmusikgrößen wurden vor einigen Jahren anlässlich der Weimarer Schulmusiktage vorgestellt. Der aktuelle Teil möchte Ihnen einige interessante Bands und Solisten anbieten, welche im zweitgrößten Land der Erde aufgewachsen sind, in Kanada. Kanada ist der Staatsform nach eine Parlamentarische Monarchie. Das Staatsoberhaupt ist Königin Elisabeth II., welche durch eine Generalgouverneurin vertreten wird. Formal erlangte Kanada 1982 seine Unabhängigkeit von Großbritannien. Aktueller Regierungschef ist Premierminister Stephen Harper. Kanadas Wahlspruch lautet: „A Mari Usque Ad Mare“ (lat. für: „Von Meer zu Meer“; abge- leitet von Psalm 72,8). Die Hauptstadt ist Ottawa, und Englisch sowie Französisch sind die Amts- sprachen. Kanada hat etwa 33.000.000 Einwohner und verfügt über eine Fläche von ca. 10.000.000 qkm. Paul Anka Obwohl Anka bis in die 1990-er Jahre dem Plattengeschäft treu geblieben ist, hat er in einem Inter- view Folgendes erzählt: „Ich hatte meine große Zeit in den Jahren von 1957 bis 1962, nachdem die erste Rock-‘n‘-Roll-Welle abgeebbt war. […] Ich reihte in diesen Jahren Hit an Hit, wie Lonely Boy, Put Your Head On My Shoulder, You Are My Destiny oder Puppy Love. Mit 19 Jahren war ich Millio- när.” Paul Anka wurde am 30.07.1941 in Ottawa geboren. Für den Film „Der längste Tag“ schrieb er die Musik und spielte selbst mit. 1963 heiratete er in Paris und hätte spätestens jetzt zum jüngsten und reichsten Frührentner des amerikanischen Showgeschäftes werden können. -

Read Full Biography Share on Following his 1970 departure from the Guess Who, guitarist Randy Bachman recorded a solo album (Axe) and planned a project with ex-Nice keyboardist Keith Emerson (later canceled due to illness) before forming Bachman-Turner Overdrive in 1972. Originally called "Brave Belt," the metal group was comprised of singer/guitarist Bachman, fellow Guess Who alum Chad Allan, bassist C.F. "Fred" Turner, and Randy's brother, drummer Robbie; after a pair of LPs (Brave Belt I and Brave Belt II), Allan was replaced by another Bachman brother, guitarist Tim, and in homage to the Play Bachman-Turner Over… trucker's magazine Overdrive, the unit became BTO. on Amazon Music While their self-titled 1973 debut caused little impact in the U.S. or the band's native Canada, Bachman-Turner Active 1970s - 2000s Overdrive II was a smash, netting a hit single with the anthemic "Takin' Care of Business." Prior to the release of Formed 1972 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, 1974's Not Fragile, Tim Bachman exited the group to begin a Canada career in production, and was replaced by Blair Thornton; the Disbanded 1979 album was a chart-topping success, and notched a number one single with "You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet." Genre Pop/Rock After 1977's Styles Arena Rock Boogie Rock Freeways, Randy Album Rock Bachman left the Rock & Roll group for a solo career and formed another group, Ironhorse. -

Head of Public Relations for Bali Provincial Secretariat I Dewa Gede Mahendra Putra, stated that the increase was also based on the fact that in 2014 many small businesses paid wages below the going rate. According to Dewa the new figure represents a 5.5% increase, which is significantly smaller than the previous two years which saw a rise of 21.7 percent and 30.6 per cent respectively. There are at least six indicators used in determining the UMP, which include living costs, the rate of inflation, rate of economic growth / productivity of labour and unemployment / supply and demand of labour. “The ability of small businesses to pay wages, and compatibility with the surrounding area is also an important consideration in determining the UMP,” he said.
