VIKINGS PKWY You must request parking along with your credential at least 24 hours in advance of your arrival (directions to apply on the first page). Once you have been approved for credentials and parking you will receive an electronic parking pass via email. Present that parking pass to security (either printed out or on your phone) to enter training camp grounds, then proceed to follow the signage to the media parking lot and media check-in.

Satellite Parking: Satellite parking must also be requested 24 hours in advance of your arrival (directions to apply on the first page). Please use 668 O’Neill Drive, Eagan, Minnesota for the address when parking satellite trucks. Once you’ve been approved you will receive an electronic parking pass via email. Present that parking pass to security (either printed out or on your phone) to enter training camp grounds then proceed to follow the signage to the satellite truck parking. Upon arrival at the designated satellite truck parking (red parking strip at the top of the map above) please call Sam Newton at (612) 965-4712.

Taxi/Ride Sharing Apps: The drop off location for any taxi or ride sharing app is directly at the media check-in location. Please request 2600 Vikings Circle as the destination address for all services.

MEDIA CHECK-IN Media members must present their approval email (either printed out or on your phone) upon arrival at the media check-in desk to receive their train- ing camp credential. Valid media identification, business card, driver’s license or an ID badge from your respective outlet may also be requested. No children or individuals wearing team gear will be given media credentials at any time. There are no exceptions to this policy.

2018 VIKINGS MEDIA HANDBOOK | 4 2018 VIKINGS MEDIA HANDBOOK | 5 VIKINGS TRAINING CAMP POLICIES/PROCEDURES MEDIA CENTER/MEDIA WORK ROOM * The media center will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on all days when there is scheduled media availability. For those who cover the team year round, you may still access the media center outside of those hours with your assigned key cards/codes. If the schedule varies, updated times will be posted. * If you do not have a reserved work station, please find an open work space in the press conference room.  PRACTICE POLICIES * All practices are open in their entirety during training camp. Filming/photography will be allowed through the ENTIRE practice through the night practice in TCO Stadium on August 4. The Vikings ask that video focus on individual players rather than wide-angle views of specific plays. Beginning Monday, August 6, filming will be allowed through individual drills only and is not allowed at walk-thru. (Dates are subject to change).   * Members of the media ARE allowed to blog and/or “tweet” from the practice field during training camp. Photo and video is not allowed once shooting periods have concluded. O’NEILL DRIVE * Members of the media are NOT allowed to live stream from the practice field unless in accordance with NFL policy or previously approved by Vikings PR. * Due to safety precautions, no tripods are permitted in the end zones; however, they are allowed along the east sideline concrete paths.

TCO PERFORMANCE CENTER PRACTICE POLICIES * Practices are open through individual drills only. Vikings PR staff will post the location and time of practice in the media center. Prior to the start of practice members of the Vikings PR staff will escort the media to the practice field.

* Members of the media are NOT allowed to blog and/or tweet from the practice field.

* In the event of an injury, all photography and video must stop. Please do not speculate on injuries until the team has provided an update.

* Media members are asked to respect the difference between a player being coached and a player being admonished. While the former is allowed to be reported, the latter is not.

* Please do not quote, paraphrase or report the comments made by coaches or players during a practice session.

* Please do not report on offensive or defensive strategy, including formations, personnel groupings or unconventional plays.

* At the completion of practice, filming and photography is only allowed to capture interviews. Media is not allowed to shoot anything else unless previously granted permission.

MEDIA AVAILABILITY/OPEN LOCKER ROOM ACCESS * Press conferences are held in the indoor facility following indoor practices and on the concrete patio beside the fields following outdoor practices.

* Please let a member of the Vikings PR staff know which players you would like to visit with during media availability. The PR staff will make every effort to connect you with those players during media availability or during open locker room.

* Head Coach Mike Zimmer will address the media every Monday, Wednesday and Friday during the regular season. Any other requests for Coach Zimmer should be directed to Bob Hagan.

* Coordinators John DeFilippo, George Edwards and Mike Priefer will be available following the walk-thru every Thursday during the regular season. Any requests to speak with the coordinators outside of those days, or a position coach at any time, must be approved through a member of the Vikings PR staff at least one day in advance.

* Media are asked to understand that because of high demand, certain players will not speak every day; if traveling, please make arrangements with the PR staff ahead of time to request access to a specific player.

* Conference calls with the opposing team’s head coach will take place each Wednesday during the regular season.

* Interview requests for Vikings General Manager Rick Spielman can be directed to a Bob Hagan. All requests for any member of the football staff must go through the Vikings PR staff.

* During open locker room access (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday), media members are asked to NOT film players’ personal belongings in their individual lockers. Still photos are not allowed in the locker room.

* Team memos or notes posted in players’ individual lockers or within team spaces are not to be reported.

MEDIA POLICY FOR ON-SITE LIVE STREAMING * Media availabilities, open locker room/practice and other team activities on club premises (Twin Cities Orthopedics Performance Center/U.S. Bank Stadium) may not be broadcast live by an individual or media outlet without prior approval from the Minnesota Vikings (this includes the use of social media applications such as Facebook Live, Instagram, Periscope, among others).

* In accordance with the ’s online video regulations, any content (live or otherwise) gathered through credentialed access may not be archived online for longer than 24 hours and must be limited to 90 seconds in length per day.

* No content can be streamed online by any media outlet unless the approved stream is simulcast live on the outlet’s television or radio broadcast or previously approved by the Minnesota Vikings.

Credentials will NOT be issued to writers or photographers working on a free-lance basis unless the request is made by a recognized publication or news entity. The Vikings PR staff will evaluate online entities, including blogs, and determine whether or not those entities will be issued credentials.

2018 SEASON PRESS CREDENTIALS * All press credential requests for the full 2018 season must be submitted online (https://vikings.1rmg.com) (click on Credentials tab) to Vikings Public Relations Manager Jon Ekstrom ([email protected]). Requests are to be submitted before the deadline date.

* Upon review of request, outlets will be notified of acceptance or denial, and credentials will be distributed prior to the first preseason game.

2018 SINGLE-GAME PRESS CREDENTIALS * Media representatives who have not been issued season press credentials may request single-game credentials no later than Tuesday of the specific game week.

* Requests must be submitted via https://vikings.1rmg.com (click on Credentials tab).

2018 ROAD GAME PRESS CREDENTIALS * For road games, members of the media must request credentials no later than Wednesday of the previous game week (10 days). This is for a standard Sunday game.

PRESS WILL CALL/PRESS ENTRANCE * The Sid Hartman Media Entrance at U.S. Bank Stadium is located on the southeast side of the stadium to the right of the Pentair gate. Will call press passes and photographer vests can be picked up at the Sid Hartman Media Entrance with a valid ID.

* For main press box passes, entrance at the Sid Hartman Media Entrance allows the quickest access to the main press box. All media need to enter through this gate.

SECURITY * Security representatives will check bags before allowing entry into the stadium.

* Picture identification is required at the press will call, and all bags will be searched. Any bag without a security tag is subject to removal by stadium security.

* A valid credential is required and should be displayed at all times while at the stadium. This credential is not transferable between parties, even among members of the same media outlet. If the name on the credential does not match the name on the Vikings master list, the credential is subject to revocation by Vikings security.
