Northbrook Kipnis Center – an Indoor Training Facility

Dear Friends of Northbrook Baseball,

Since 1952, Northbrook Baseball has existed for the sole purpose of providing a youth baseball league to the children of Northbrook, Illinois. Many Northbrook residents have devoted countless hours over many years to teach the game of baseball, sportsmanship and teamwork to our children and have ensured that our children could enjoy the wonderful game of baseball. Throughout this time, we have managed to keep the cost of playing baseball in Northbrook very low.

We hope that many children have grown into better adults, parents and coaches as a result of the small role played by Northbrook Baseball.

In an effort to improve our program and to continue to offer the children of Northbrook a baseball program that remains a notch above other local programs, the Directors of Northbrook Baseball have elected to develop an indoor training facility for our players.

Our new facility at 1851 Janke Drive will enable coaches to work with their House League and Travel teams more frequently than ever before (despite the weather) and for us to offer tailored clinics and instruction.

Additionally, as part of the outstanding spirit of cooperation and collaboration shared between our programs, Glenbrook North Baseball will be able to utilize our facility early mornings and after school, at a time when the facility would otherwise sit empty. This will help GBN Baseball immensely with their player development and winter schedule.

This new goal for Northbrook Baseball and GBN Baseball has resulted in Northbrook’s very own; Jason Kipnis of the to kick off our fundraising effort for this facility with a very significant donation and for Jason to agree to our naming the facility the “Northbrook Baseball Kipnis Center.” We have also received important donations from other long-time volunteers and now we need your help to enable us to build and operate our facility and at the same time to make sure that baseball in Northbrook remains affordable for every resident in our community.

Please help us continue to deliver a great baseball program to our children for many years to come, with your donation to the Northbrook Baseball Kipnis Center.

With Much Appreciation,

The Board Members of Northbrook Baseball
