Fenders on opening night in an exciting fourth quarter battle, 114-116. Phil Pressey led the way for the Sea Dubs with 25 points, 6 assists, and 5 rebounds. Every fan in attendance received an opening night shirt and rally towel thanks to Kaiser Permanente! Nov. 16 – The Sea Dubs defeated the Iowa Energy, winning the second game of the season, 125-104. Scott Wood notched a double-double, contributing 23 points and 10 rebounds en route to breaking a Santa Cruz all-time record with a total of 7 three-pointers! Every fan in attendance SEASON OF GIVING received a schedule magnet courtesy of Lloyd’s The Santa Cruz Warriors tipped off the Season of Tire and Auto Care! Giving in partnership with the Santa Cruz Polar Nov. 18 – Santa Cruz outlasted Rio Grande Valley Express. Last week Casey Hill, Dennis Clifford, Cam 112-110 in a wire-to-wire thriller, handing the Jones, Basketball Operations Coordinator Jacob Vipers their first loss of the season. Elgin Cook Rubin visited Branciforte Small Schools to read “The paced the Warriors with 23 points in a tightly Polar Express” to students with characters from the contested battle that saw 17 lead changes and 11 book. At the end of the reading, the children were ties. The Sea Dubs rocked alternate jerseys surprised with tickets to ride in Santa Cruz’s own sponsored by Plantronics and held a jersey auction Polar Express train! In the spirit of the holidays, the benefitting Second Harvest Food Bank. -

It started to become noticeable in 2009, when the Chandler Building began to droop at its northwest cor- ner. Since then, two other down- town buildings, the Egyptian The- atre and the public library,have got- ten the attention of city engineers. All three were found to be droop- ing in spots. The experts say the troubles for all three can be traced to the wood pilings below ground that hold their foundations in place.
