Weirdly I didn't realise it was the third in a series when I was Beaver Towers: Dangerous Journey: The Dangerous Journey kid and just In any case, Baby B and Nick are still super cute. Apr 08, Beaver Towers: Dangerous Journey: The Dangerous Journey Waller rated it really liked it. It's not a bad book, certainly not one to recommend for an adult, but not a bad book all the same. I read most of this series in primary school, and the story will always have a special place in my heart. I remember in one of the previous books in the series, the main character, Philip, is left home alone. He answers the phone when it rings, but nobody is on the other end. He then opens his curtains to see a witch stood across the road. Since then, I've always had this little moment of panic whe It's not a bad book, certainly not one to recommend for an adult, but not a bad book all the same. Since then, I've always had this little moment of panic when I'm home alone and I answer the phone. And that's what good books do, isn't it? They stay with you look after you've finished them. One day I'd like to finish the series, even though I'm almost 18, I'd still like to know the conclusion to my childhood fairy-tale I was never really into Disney as a kid. This is my favourite book that I've read in the series, and one that I read again every so often. It reminds me of my childhood, and is a relaxing read just before bed. I'd recommend it to anyone with children around the age of year 4, as some parts of this book especially can be a little spooky! View 1 comment. Mar 03, Amber Smoke rated it did not like it Shelves: worst-books. It was bad, bad, bad I really didn't like it as a kid. We read it at school in something like year 4 so I'm not entirely sure what my main reason was for disliking it back then. One reason I can fathom is that this is in fact the third book. I'm pretty sure this was the one we read and I don't think i read the previous books. So it's possible I didn't get on with the story because I didn't know what the crap was happening! Pity we didnt get to the end of the book before the end of term. On almost every page, movie-star mansions, knitted with secret passages, spontaneously combust; murders, suicides and overdoses spread through the celebrity populace; cults spring up peopled with mobsters and spies… and all the while, this timeless, intriguing music keeps on geysering away. I contacted McGowan about his bizarre book earlier this week…. Thomas McGrath: Hi Dave. Could you begin please by telling us something about your previous work? That was also the time that I first ventured onto the internet, which opened up a wealth of new research possibilities. I put up my first website circaand an adaptation of that became my first book, Derailing Democracyin My third book, Programmed to Killwas a look at the reality and mythology of what exactly a serial killer is. For the past six years, I have spent most of my time digging into the s and s Laurel Canyon counterculture scene, which has now become my fourth book, Weird Scenes Inside the Canyon. Are these cults essentially Satanic, or what? David McGowan: Yes, I do believe that Beaver Towers: Dark Dream: The Dark Dream you refer to as power networks, otherwise known as secret societies, are occult in nature.
