THE LAST MEETING: FEB. 25, 2011, FARGO, N.D. – North Dakota State strung together runs of 19-0 and 17-0 to run away with an 84-61 win over South Dakota State on Saturday night in both team's regular season finale in front of 4,136 fans at Bison Sports Arena in Fargo, N.D. Nate Wolters led the Jackrabbits with 14 points, Jordan Dykstra added 12 and Brayden Carlson finished by tying a career-high with 11 points. Michael Tveidt led the Bison with 17 points, Taylor Braun finished with 14, Marshall Bjorklund 14 and Mike Felt 12 points in the win. SDSU scored first on its first possession, but Bison answered with a 19-0 run, capped with NDSU dunks on back-to-back trips down the floor and prompting an SDSU timeout. The run came on an end on a pair of Nate Wolters free throws after an NDSU technical foul. The Jacks would battle back from the free throw line to get as close as six points, but the Bison scored the last seven points of the half to take a 35-22 lead into the locker room at halftime. SDSU shot just 4-of-27 from the floor in the half (14.8 percent), with single baskets from MID-MAJOR TOP 25 POLL four different Jackrabbits.
