Each flag was planted in honor of a serviceman or servicewoman who made the ultimate sacrifice in defending our country and its freedoms. During the ceremony, Patriots Chairman and CEO , President of Kraft Family Philanthropies Josh Kraft, Vice President and General Manager of Patriot Place Brian Earley and Foxborough Veteran Services Officer Ally Rodriguez took the time to remember and honor veterans, greeting and speaking with those in attendance. Rodriguez also addressed the gathered group of veterans from Foxborough and the surrounding community on the history and significance of Memorial Day, and Earley spoke to the group about the importance of Memorial Day and shared the stories of a few of the community’s veterans. The group then placed a red, white and wreath at the flag garden in memory and recognition of all those who have died serving our country before the ceremony concluded with the solemn playing of “Taps.” “I am always so honored and excited when invited to participate in anything the Kraft Group plans, because I know how much they respect and honor the veteran community,” Rodriguez said. “I spoke to veterans after the ceremony and they all agreed that the garden was a beautiful and thoughtful way to remind the public of the true price of war.” The flag garden also featured a display of 300 names of fallen heroes submitted by Patriot Place guests, and remained on display for the duration of Memorial Day Weekend, serving as a reminder and place of reflection for all who visited Patriot Place that weekend. 5 FIRST ROUND PICKS NFL DRAFT: Residents enjoy unforgettable experience

From PAGE 1 “It was a surreal experience,” Helene said. “I’m a big fan and to actually be there for the draft and experience all the excitement and feel that energy was incredible.” Residents for over 25 years and Season Ticket Members for more than a decade, Mike and Helene departed for the adventure Wednesday, April 28, arriving in Cleveland the night before the draft began. Longtime resident and Season Ticket Member Darrell Rego and his family had the chance to celebrate the first round of the NFL Draft with the ultimate draft party, complete with snacks, drinks, and a surprise visit from Pat Patriot and the Cheerleaders. Rego and his wife Josephine are both fully vaccinated and were able to enjoy this experience with their two children, as well as another local vaccinated family. In the leadup to the start of the draft, the Regos snacked on a full spread of tailgate bites and drank Bud Light and Pepsi beverages. To commemorate the occasion, they each also received an exclusive draft party t-shirt, as well as a variety of team-themed swag. But even more than food and team gear, Josephine pointed to seeing her kids playing basketball and hanging with Pat Patriot as her personal highlight. “Living in town, we’ve gone to a lot of fun events and our kids have seen Pat the Patriot but just to have that sort of experience and get to play basketball in their driveway with him was so much fun,” Josephine said. “It was such a unique experience and the fact that the Kraft Group and Patriots put on events like this for residents is just awesome.” The Regos reflected on the sense of normalcy and excitement they experienced from being able to enjoy a tailgate again, especially after a year spent watching Patriots games from their house instead of a packed and raucous Gillette Stadium. “Coming off last year where no one could go to any games and I had a very sad husband, this experience brought back the excitement and we’re so grateful,” Josephine said. “Just to be thought of to have this sort of experience and be part of the draft day process was an experience I won’t forget, and I don’t think my kids will forget,” Darrell said. “Earlier that day, the governor had announced that stadiums can be at full capacity by August 1, so that created some extra excitement to see who the new Patriots were going to be because as long as we get through the summer, the stadium will be reopened and we can resume going to games.” 7 Partners in Patriotism
