The majority of the City's population growth will be experienced in: • Northern Coastal Growth Corridor (Alkimos, Eglinton, Yanchep & ): 73,000 additional people (55% of the City's total growth) • East Wanneroo (Gnangara, Jandabup & Mariginiup): 15,000 additional people (12% of the City's total growth) • Wanneroo Town Centre (Wanneroo): 12,000 additional people (9% of the City's total growth)

ECONOMIC GROWTH

• There are nine planned new major activity centres in the City of Wanneroo that will be developed as our population grows. Major new centres include the Yanchep Strategic Metropolitan Centre and the Alkimos Secondary Centre. • Wangara Industrial Area is one of Perth's busiest industrial areas covering 620ha; with over 10,000 people working there. There has been a recent 50ha expansion of the industrial area offering new business and investment opportunities. • Neerabup Industrial Area is an emerging industrial area. It includes 1,005ha of land (almost double the size of the Wangara Industrial Area) and has the potential for up to 20,000 jobs to locate in the area. • The rapid residential growth presents many opportunities for new Existing and Future Employment local businesses in Nodes in the City of Wanneroo development areas to serve the growing population.
