Class- II Lesson-2 Living With Family HIGHLIGHTS OF THE LESSON- *We live together in a house as a FAMILY. *Types of Families:- 1) Small Family or Nuclear Family:- The family in which parents and their children live together. 2) Large Family:- The family in which parents and their children live together with their grandparents. 3) Extended Family:- Grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins are members of Extended Family. 4) Joint Family:- When parents , grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins live together, it is called a joint family. *Living Together *Celebrating Together *Types of Festivals celebrated in India 1) Religious Festivals- Holi, Diwali, Eid, Christmas. 2) Harvest Festival- Pongal, Onam, Bhi, Lohri. 3) National Festivals- Independence Day, Republic Day, Gandhi Jayanti. *HARD WORDS 1.
