Season-High in Goals FC Monmouth scored a seaon-high three goals in their victory over Hershey FC on June 8. Three different players found the back of the net, as forward Regsan Watkins scored his third of the season, and midfielder Dylan Fogerty and defender Pablo Fonseca scored their first career goals. The team record for goals in a game is four, which was set on June 23, 2018, in a 4-0 victory at Torch FC.

LaBrocca Makes Debut FC Monmouth announced before June 8’s match at Hershey FC that Assistant Coach, and former MLS All-Star Nick LaBrocca will be joining the team as a player-coach for the remainder of the season. LaBrocca came off the bench at Hershey, playing 35 minutes and registering a shot.

Big Night for Zabilowicz In his first career start for FC Monmouth, goalkeeper Trevor Zabilowicz played the full 90 minutes at Hershey FC (June 8), allowing just one goal while stopping two shots. Zabilowicz became the fourth goalkeeper in team history to win his first career start, with the other three being Scott Weigel (5/26/18), Malcom Moreira (6/23/18), and Jake Leahy (5/18/19).

Shot Efficiency During June 1’s draw versus Philadelphia Lone Star FC, 12 of FC Monmouth’s 15 shots were on target, which accounted for 80 percent of their shot total for the game. That percentage was the highest for the team since June 13, 2018, where five of their six shots against New Jersey Copa FC were on target (83 percent).

Strong Out of Half Following the halftime break on June 1, FC Monmouth recorded the first seven shots of the second half during a 15-minute stretch versus Philadelphia Lone Star. Out of those seven, four were on target, including midfielder Sam DeCencio’s goal in the 51st min- ute.

Making Chances Count FC Monmouth registered six shots in their 1-0 victory over Atlantic City FC, with three being on target. One of those three shots found the back of the net, a shot from midfielder Anthony Rovito in the 35th minute. The six shots over the course of the 90 min- utes was the lowest total for a single game this season for the team.

Suffocating Defense Atlantic City FC recorded 14 shots against FC Monmouth, but only had one shot on target during the game, which came in the 56th minute. After the game’s three-hour rain delay, FC Monmouth did not surrender a shot on target despite a late push from Atlantic City FC. In two of the three contests this season, FC Monmouth has held their opponent to one or fewer shots on target, with the other game being their 2-0 win over New Jersey Copa FC on May 18, when they did not allow any.

Watkins Scores Again FC Monmouth forward Regsan Watkins scored his second goal of the season in the 44th minute of the team’s 5-1 loss to New Jersey Copa FC on May 22. His two goals put him in a tie for third all-time in team history, two behind Jordan Saling, who scored four in 2018.

Shots, Shots, Shots FC Monmouth outshot New Jersey Copa FC 17-8 in May 18’s 2-0 victory at Count Basie Park. They also logged 11 of the 13 shots that were taken in the first half. Their 17 shots are tied for the most in a game in team history, dating back to the 17 that it had at Torch FC on June 23, 2018. Brian Woods Head Coach, 2nd Season
