Lufia and the fortress of doom items Continue Lufia and the Fortress of Doom (Lufia 1) Items List and other general information Note: This list of monsters is approximately organized. I put this list together completely myself because my computer was offline at the time and I was dying of boredom. I have fought almost every monster in the game dozens, if not hundreds of times, just to see what kind of objects they dropped. I've also composed a list of quirks, distractions and observations directly below the monster list, just for fun. Most, if not all, of this information have been posted on other websites in the past by infinitely more knowledgeable people than I am. But anyway, I hope you can get some use from this post. -Drinks that add statistics (Great magic potion, spell drink, power drink, speed drink, mind drink) seem to be incredibly rare drops (either 1/128 or 1/256 or some other incredibly obscene speed... Maximizing maximum character stats is certainly not a casual, sane player. It's also completely unnecessary, especially when you can win this game comfortably at about level 45-50. -Werefrogs drop great potions, Wing lions drop spell drinks, Manticores drop mind magic potions, Mega Atlases drops power drinks that can only be encountered after a certain plot point that removes one of your party members, and I don't know what speed drinks to drop if any monster yet.) List of monsters and objects they carry (Note: A list of objects is still in the works, and one or two monsters may also be missing): Madshroom: Potion (improves 15-25 HP) Big Newt: Grilled Newt (Improves 8-10 HP... In future Lufia batches, it will improve to 5 HP and 5 MP... useless anyway) Jellyfish: Nothing Spider: Nothing Green Orb: Opal (Accessory, does nothing I know... Sell 50G: Earwig: Nothing Anemone: Nothing Baby Crab: Small Knife Nettles: Nothing Kobold: Mid-Arrow (Does moderate physical damage to one group of enemies... Very useful at the beginning, but quickly becomes worthless) Bore Worm: Nothing Roozard: Apron Giant Bat: Nothing Giant Newt: Grilled Newt Mini-Demon: Potion Goblin: Awaken (Cures Sleep status on one character) Huge Bunny: Ribbon (A useless main item that gives +2 DFP. However, this monster gives around 88 golds comparable to many enemies midway through the game) Spike Newt: Poison Pin (70% chance of killing one enemy... AWESOME Item) Mini Crab: Pot (useless main item that gives +3 DFP) Red Magi: Hi-Magic (returns 30-50 MP... GREAT for the early-game) Fight: Nothing Zombie: Nothing Frog: Nothing Dracu Rose: Hi-Arrows (hits all enemies due to moderate physical damage... Decent at first, but quickly becomes useless later) Crazy Pot: Magic Jar (Restores 15-25 MP... not unbelievable, but extra is always useful) Swordspook: Scimitar (Excellent weapon if you get it early, early, take you through a few of the following dungeons) Flamespook: Nothing Willowisp: Nothing Beetle: Nothing Mimic: Nothing Mimic: Nothing (Gives 663 EXP and about 350 golds... Moreover, technically it is written in Mimick in this game, but I refuse to call it that) Mud Man: Nothing Sand Rose: Hi-Potion Skeleton: Nothing Archer: Foul Water (When used, you will encounter monsters every step of the way for about 15 steps) Straw Man: Long Nail (Needed to make Gloom Voice, an incredibly rare and useful object that kills all enemies who are not immune to imminent death) Nightmare : Nothing Red Orb: Emerald (Accessory, does nothing I know... Sell 100G: Ghost Mail: Light Armor (Decent if you get it early, though not as awesome as Scimitar) Sand Man: Smoke Ball Poison Rat: Poison Pin Mummy: Antidote (Cures Poison... Always useful to be around) Killer Bee: Poison Pin Blue Wolf: Nothing Spellsnail: Nothing Tarantula: Nothing Chomp Weed: Nothing Horrorquin: Gown (Equipment for Lufia and Jerin, you should already have better equipment for them) Dark Perk: Mind Gourd (Temporarily adds INT during battle) Big Meany: Nothing Jellybean: Nothing Dark Demon: Hi-Potion Flamefreak: Fry Gar Pangoyle: ??? Ice Snake: Sleep Arrow (puts one enemy to bed) Gold Orc: Small Knife Mace Man: Nothing Rok: Swing Wing (Buoys you into a previously visited city... No doubt you've used these several times before) Armoured Lord: Ex-Potion (improves all HP... Useful if you don't always know Champion. but want to save MP) Blue Wisp: Nothing Blue Meany: Nothing Pin Lizard: Nothing Giant Oak: Nothing Mimicker: Nothing (Gives 2,999 EXP and about 850 gold) Sting: Poison Pin Crazy Jar: Magic Jar Yeoman: Hi-Arrows Ghoul: Potion Frogula: Antidote Terrorquin: Ex-Potion Axe Knight: Shield Tower (Can be purchased from Herat; decent if you haven't already bought it) Halloween : Puzzle Arrow (Confuses one enemy) Harpie : Nothing Killer Anel: Nothing Red Star: Nothing Jelly Bolt: Nothing Starfish: Nothing Lobsteron: Goblet (Consumer Commodity, Harms One Enemy) Evil Clam: Earring (Useless, DFP +1 Helmet) Psychoclam: Nothing Sea Snake: Power Gourd Crazy Pine: Power Gourd (Temporarily Growing ATP During Battle. Basically a free spell of tricks) Trap Harp: Ex-Potion Zooster: Stone Cure (You'll never guess what this item does) Mad Lily: Nothing Werewolf: Nothing Land Worm: Nothing Zaurus: Nothing Cave Rok: Nothing Werefrog: Great Potion (Great item, permanently increases STR 1-3 points! Also add DFP at 1 every 3-4 points) Sabrespook: Buster Sword (Pretty good if you get it early... Nothing to do with Cloud Strige's iconic weapon) Demon Mace: Morning Star (Useless, however, sells for a little extra money) Mud Ghoul: Hi-Bomb Vampire: Red Wolf: Nothing Eye Curse: Nothing Redcore: Nothing Redcore: Nothing (Gives 13,333 EXP and ~4,000 gold, tosin) Basilisk: Stone Cure Nail Man: Straw Doll (Muu esine tarvitaan tarvitaan Sound... It's funny how The Nailman drops a straw doll, but Straw Man drops a long nail) Salamander: Grilled Newt Manticore: Mind Potion (Fine item, permanently grows INT by 1-3 points! Can also increase MGR at 1 every 2-3 points) Lizard Man: Carbo Shield (Excellent shield, very useful if you didn't buy this Soshette, Epro or Frederia) Troll: None Green Magi: Hi-Magic Berserker: Gloom Arrow (Trying to kill one enemy with a 20% success rate... Basically a free perish spell) Dark Spook: Gloom Guard (Accessory, makes you immune to instant death. Great item if enemies have always insta-headed you) Blue skull: None Steel Lord: Great blade (Excellent weapon, very useful if you didn't already buy this from Epro or Frederia) Hydra: Might Blade (+380 ATP! 80 points stronger than Dual Blade! If you're really lucky, you might get this on your way to dual blade) Fire Plate: Might Armor (+100 DFP! 50 points stronger than Zircon Armor! Also +10 MGR) Griffon: Nothing Mad Wolf: Nothing Rock Golem: Nothing Megaturtle: Nothing Efreet: Hi-Potion (Efreets can do more than 100 damages to your party with Blaze and carry an object that only heals 80-100 for one... epic trolls they are) Mega Frog: Miracle (Revives, improves all HP and MP ... Incredibly useful object) Mad Knight: Ex-Potion Magura: Nothing Manta Ray: Nothing Sea Dragon: Dragon Tooth (Does more damage against dragons or something? I don't know... Did only 12 damages when I used this) Barient: Might Helmet (+35 DFP, +24 INT and +19 MGR! You probably won't get this unless you're really lucky) Zaurus Rex: Nothing Dragon: Dragon Arrow (Doing more damage against dragons or something? I don't know. Did only 24 damages once when I used it) humungus: Nothing Wing Lion: Spell Potion (Great Object, grows MP permanently by 3-5 points!) Gorgon: Stone Cure Gloom: Miracle Red Skull: Nothing Mad Cleric: Ex-Magic (Cures all MP, always a very useful item) Fire Wave: Nothing Whirlwind: Nothing Electromaz: Nothing Mega Atlas: Power Potion (Add HP permanently 3-5 points! They're also a little less rare here than usual) Act Demon: Foul Water (More monster speed, incredibly pointless so far, BTW, I guess Act = Arch) Act Dragon: Diamond Ring (Accessory, raises store prices by 25%... You can sell for 3600G, although it's already pointless) Act Hydra: Nothing Greencore: Nothing (Gives 65,000 EXP and about 9,000 gold) Gold Golem: Nothing Glitches, Observations and Oddities: -EXP and gold is limited to 16,777,215 in this game. In Lufia 2 and Lufia: The Legend Returns, EXP and Gold is limited to 9,999,999. There's a screenshot waiting. -When you sell something with over 10 million golds, your gold automatically decreases to a clearly random 8,361,624 golds. This is likely to be a corrective corrective to prevent game interference in stores where the gold counter is only supposed to display the values correctly up to 9,999,999. You can buy stuff without resetting the gold. Screenshots are waiting. -The gold counter on the winning screen rotates when you receive over 65,535 golds from any fight. For example, whenever you win group 5 Redcores in Try Again mode, the prize show says you got about 14,000-20,000 golds. You'll still get the full $80,000 to $86,000 gold you would normally have. -The timer exceeds 99:59, most likely the cap either 255:59 or 999:59. I'm not sure the same goes for Lufia 2, but it's about TLR. My last time is about 167 hours, and from the moment I'm released, I don't really want to play anymore to see for myself. ...This game doesn't cork the damage at 999. Instead, if you do more than 999 damages, it will only show the last three digits of your total damage.
