Inside, you’ll find all summer youth day camps, including in-person and online. To ensure the safety of all, please anticipate in-person campers and staff wearing face coverings and practicing social distancing. In addition, we will continue to monitor current COVID-19 health and safety guidelines and notify registered participants of any impactful program changes. Please note that as of April 27, 2021, our administrative offices are still conducting operations solely via phone and email; therefore, we encourage you to register for summer programs at www.belmont.gov/register. Last updated: 4/27/21 Camp SOAR - Eagles EAGLES (entering 3rd-5th) Campers experience the adventure and excitement of the outdoors, meet new friends, and express their growing independence under the supervision of caring and qualified recreation staff. Weekly activities include games, crafts, hands-on sensory activities, and songs. We teach how to use a stylus and drawing tablet and utilize pressure sensitivity to achieve a variety of brush strokes. We start our camp by teaching the basic tools: types of brushes, color mixing, magic wand, lasso tools, etc. Then we move to more ambitious, individ- ual projects such as anime character portraits and full figure and how to place characters in settings. Build your own 3D Adventure and populate your world with custom mon- sters and avatars. Build your unique player character, items, and power-ups. Learn to program custom behaviors, events, triggers, and game rules. Visual scripting, digital painting, principles of animation, and 3D modeling will be introduced. In this camp, children will use their creativity and imagination to develop their third-dimensional perception, cognitive skills, and fine motor skills. This camp covers basic and intermediate 3D mod- eling techniques through hands-on assignments and demonstrations. Learners will create a vast array of objects using Blender as a tool. A step-by-step process will be adopted to guide and coach the students through this creative and artistic summer program. At EASE, we teach students how compa- nies like E-Bay, Amazon, Tesla, Apple, and Facebook derive their mission and purpose and what it takes to succeed in our global new age economy. EASE also equips them with the success skills they need, and sets them in the right direction for understanding entrepreneurship at a young age. An interactive camp that not only teaches kids about entrepreneurship, but prepares our youth to become successful entrepreneurs. This camp will develop your child’s confidence in presentation in an interactive and fun fashion. We utilize a gaming strategy to encourage campers to express themselves comfortably and creatively. We accomplish this by utilizing Toastmasters speech with interesting table topics to coach your child to think and speak on their feet.
