You will be working for a thriving private estate of 12,000 acres, including five miles of World Heritage coastline. This is a position which will be within the Landscapes Team, line managed by the Head Ranger and is a permanent full-time role. The post holder will assist with the maintenance of an ambitious Environmental Stewardship Scheme on 1050Ha of mainly SSSI designated habitats including chalk downland and heathland. The role will largely involve practical habitat management and creation, agricultural in-field option management, woodland restoration and some grounds maintenance. Ecological surveying, teaching, planning and reporting work may be required. All traditional Estate roles are included from tree planting to coppicing and hedge laying to Rights of Way maintenance.
