In 2016, the event will benefit Project Inform, Project Open Hand, and a 2015 AIDS Walk groundbreaking pilot project at San Francisco General Hospital (SFGH) Ward 86 on HIV and aging. Over the past 3 decades, AIDS Walk San Francisco has raised more than $86 million for Bay Area AIDS organizations. These organizations serve tens of thousands of people living with the disease and help prevent hundreds of thousands more from becoming infected. The AIDS Walk San Francisco Foundation is committed to preserving the stability, success, reach, and visibility of each annual AIDS Walk San Francisco event. The Foundation’s vision is to serve the greatest unmet needs of people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS in the San Francisco Bay Area and to empower local HIV/AIDS organizations to end the epidemic.
