Philip M. Bilden

Philip Bilden serves as Chairman of Board of Trustees and Executive Committee the Naval War College Foundation. Mr. Bilden has been a Trustee since 2012 and previously served as Vice Chairman and inaugural Chairman of the Center for NWCF Cyber Conflict Studies Task Force.

Mr. Bilden was a Co-Founding Member of the private equity firm HarbourVest Partners, which manages over $50 billion in assets. He began his career in Boston in 1991 and relocated to Hong Kong in 1996 to establish the firm's Asian subsidiary. Mr. Bilden was responsible for the firm’s investment strategy and execution, capital raising, and client service activities throughout the Asia Pacific region, managing personnel and partnerships in multiple countries and cultures. Throughout his 25-year tenure at HarbourVest Partners, Mr. Bilden served in senior leadership roles in the firm’s global management, including the firm’s six person Executive Committee responsible for governance. After 25 years at the firm, Mr. Bilden retired as a Senior Advisor in 2016.

Mr. Bilden presently serves on the Board of Directors of Huntington Ingalls Industries (NYSE: HII); cybersecurity company, GoSecure; the Board of Directors of the United States Naval Academy Foundation. He previously served on the Board of Directors of the U.S. Naval Institute, the Asia Pacific Advisory Board and Dean’s Board of Advisors of Harvard Business School, and the Board of Visitors of Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service.

Mr. Bilden graduated with a B.S. in Foreign Service (magna cum laude) in 1986 as Distinguished Military Graduate, U.S. Army ROTC, from Georgetown University. He received his MBA from Harvard Business School in 1991.

Mr. Bilden served for ten years as a Military Intelligence Officer, U.S. Army Reserve, supporting Defense Intelligence Agency. He maintains a Department of Defense TS-SCI security clearance and serves on the Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) Executive Panel for the U.S. Navy.

Duncan A. Chapman

Duncan serves as a partner at Lexington Partners L.P. He joined Lexington Partners on March 23, 2004. He is primarily engaged in management of Lexington’s operations and origination and evaluation of equity co-investments and secondary purchases of private equity and alternative investments. He has been a Principal at Butler, Chapman & Co. Mr. Chapman served as the President at Butler, Chapman & Co. L.L.C., which he co-founded in 1991. He was a Senior Investment Banker of Lehman Brothers Inc. Prior to that, he served as a Senior Vice President in Investment Banking at Lehman Brothers, where he concentrated on merger and acquisition and leveraged buyout transactions for domestic and international clients in the retail, textiles, and department store segments. He served as a Director of Pathmark Stores, Inc., SMG-II Holding Corporation, and PTK Holdings, Inc. Mr. Chapman served as a Director at Trident Rowan Group Inc. until resigning on April 19, 2002. Mr. Chapman served as a Director of Supermarkets General Holdings Corporation since 2000. He holds a BA. in Economics from .

Duncan Cocroft

Duncan currently serves on the board of directors of SBA Communications and GEO Specialty Chemicals. SBA an owner and operator of 31,000 wireless communication towers. He is Chairman of the Audit Committee and member of the Compensation Committee. GEO is a privately-owned specialty chemical company. Mr. Cocroft’s corporate experience included Executive Vice President, Finance and Treasurer of Cendant Corporation, a $19 billion consumer and business services company, including real estate, mortgage banking, leasing, car rental, and travel services; Senior Vice President - Chief Administrative Officer of Kos Pharmaceuticals; and Chief Financial Officer of International Multifoods a $2.5 billion international food company. Mr. Cocroft also served in financial positions at Smithkline Beckman, Marriott Corporation, and Citibank.

His military service was as a 1st Lieutenant in the 1st Battalion, 509th Airborne Infantry.

Nancy Cushing Evans Nancy Cushing Evans, Naval War College Foundation Secretary – was the Chairman and CEO of Squaw Valley Ski Corporation until she successfully negotiated its sale to a private equity group in 2010. Prior to that she had been President and before that General Counsel as she guided the company for the 25 years. Before working at the Squaw Valley Ski Corporation Mrs. Evans worked in private practice as an attorney in New York, focusing on corporate matters. She has been a member of the Board of the Tahoe Forest Hospital Foundation; the Excellence in Education Foundation. Presently she serves on the boards of the Squaw Valley Community of Writers; the S.N.O.W. Sports Museum Foundation; and the Newport Historical Society. She served as a Member of the Corporation of the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution for 29 years, and after Law School she had been a Fellow, there in Marine Policy and worked for the United Nations at the Law of the Sea Conferences in Committee III, which dealt with international environmental matters and scientific research. She received degrees from the University of South Carolina Law School, Columbia, South Carolina: J.D.; Harvard Law School, Cambridge, Massachusetts: S.S.; University of Colorado, Boulder, Colorado: B.A.; and graduated from Masters School, Dobbs Ferry, New York; and Tuxedo Park School, Tuxedo Park, New York. She was admitted to the Bar in California, Massachusetts, and New York. She and her husband, Robert Evans, reside in Manalapan, Florida and spend the summers in Newport.

Dominic (Dom) A. Dannessa, Ph.D.

Dom served as Executive VP - Chief Customer and Innovation Officer for USG Corporation, a leading manufacturer of building products and innovative solutions. He has extensive global manufacturing and operations leadership experience, strong people skills, an engineering foundation, and deep business strategy expertise. Prior to this role he served as Chief Operations and Innovation Officer. With 40 years of diverse experience, Dom has attained a track record of achieving first-class enterprise-level outcomes. He is recognized for profitably growing businesses and having expertise in strategic planning, business transformation and alignment, product and services innovation, finance, capital planning, corporate governance, safety management, continuous process improvement, sustainability, and customer- centric initiatives for both business-to- business and business-to-consumer. Currently, Dom manages D Cubed Consulting, providing operational and strategic expertise to various companies. He recently accepted a position with (UL) Underwriters Laboratories as Vice President Global Operations Support.

Dom joined USG in 1978 as a project engineer and held a multitude of leadership roles across the business including Senior Vice President -Manufacturing, Vice President- Supply Chain, Chief Information Officer, and Plant Manager. Over the course of his career, he has held executive positions in virtually every area of the company’s business from manufacturing, operations, R&D, engineering, supply chain and logistics, to marketing, sales and customer support, IT & digital strategies, sustainability, and corporate quality and safety. He has participated in numerous M&A and divestiture transactions and has extensive international experience.

Dom has a proven track record in the turnaround of poor safety performance to best in class, and was instrumental in USG’s achievement of the Campbell Award, designating USG as the safest company in North America.

He has served as a mentor and has created succession plans for numerous team members while promoting development programs and diversity. He is a sought- after thought leader in manufacturing, innovation and building systems technology. His commentary has appeared in publications including The Chicago Tribune, Chicago Business Journal, Construction Business Owner Magazine, Industry Week and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Corporate Citizenship Conference.

Currently, he serves as Director on the board of ATS (Advanced Technology Services, Inc). Previously served on the boards of USG Boral Building Products, Chairman Technical Committee USG Boral, USG Middle East, USG Knauf AquaPanel. Served as President of US Gypsum Engineering Company, USG Pipeline Company, and USG-Otsego Paper Company.

Additionally, served as Director on the boards of Industrial Research Institute, Chicago Catholic Charities, Chairman of the board, St. Raphael Church Parish Council. Active participant in Naval War College, National Association of Manufacturers, Harvard Joint Council on Housing Studies, United States Merchant Marine Academy and the Rhode Island School of Design Parents Associations.

Dom holds a PhD in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago, as well as bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering from Youngstown State University.

He completed coursework at the Kellogg School of Management, Executive Education Program at in Advanced Marketing Management: Enhancing Digital Capabilities and Corporate Governance: Effectiveness and Accountability in the Boardroom.

Dom and his wife Josette live between Chicago and Charleston, SC and have two daughters, Susanne and Kate.

Scott E. DePasquale

Scott DePasquale is President & CEO of the Analysis & Resilience Center for Systemic Risk (ARC). Prior to joining the ARC,

DePasquale was a partner at New York based venture capital fund,

Braemar Energy Ventures – where he served on the firm’s

investment committee for eight years. DePasquale also served as Chairman and CEO of, Utilidata, Inc., a Braemar portfolio company delivering digital automation and cyber security solutions to the power utility sector.

DePasquale’s career has focused on managing change elements related to commodity, security and technology development for some of the world’s largest users, suppliers, and financiers of energy. Prior to his role as a venture capitalist at Braemar, DePasquale was a senior vice president at GE Energy Financial Services, where he led the group’s Boston- based energy technology investments. In this capacity, he worked closely with scientists and engineers across GE’s corporate R&D center, as well as executives from various internal businesses, to identify and commercialize game-changing energy technologies.

Before joining General Electric, DePasquale spent several years managing analytics and dispute resolution for an energy security think tank, working closely with several multinational energy concerns, national oil companies, and governments to resolve issues related to energy security, trade and risk.

DePasquale previously served as Chairman of the Rhode Island Homeland Security Advisory Board, and as Chairman of the Rhode Island Cybersecurity Commission, appointed by Governor Gina M. Raimondo. He was also a member of the DHS Homeland Security Advisory Council Subcommittee on Cybersecurity.

He currently sits on several boards including the Rand Corporation’s Center for Global Risk and Security. DePasquale holds a Master of Arts in International Relations and Affairs from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University, a Master of Science in Finance from Suffolk University, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Bryant University.

Paul Dimitruk

Paul Dimitruk Paul is the Senior Partner of Partners Capital Investment Group. He co-founded the firm in London in 2001. Partners Capital is a private investment office that manages the investment programs for a group of ultra-high net worth families and institutions, representing over $30B of client assets. The institutions are predominantly schools, including Eton and 10 Oxford and Cambridge College endowments, and foundations in the Arts and Healthcare, including the Metropolitan Opera Company and the Cancer Research Institute. Paul is responsible for many of the firm’s largest U.S. client relationships. He is also responsible for firm-wide risk management, including cyber-security.

Paul is a member of BENS (Business Executives for National Security). Previously, Paul was Chairman and Chief Executive of Hawker Capital, a global commodities fund; Chairman and Chief Executive of Pareto Partners, an institutional investment manager; Group Managing Director of General Atlantic Group, the holding company for the General Atlantic interests; an Executive Director and member of the Management Committee of INVESTCORP, an international private equity firm; and Managing Partner of the European practice of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, a global law firm based in . With each of these films Paul was based in London and had extensive business experience and responsibility across Europe and in North America, Asia and Asia- Pacific as well.

Paul holds a JD from NYU School of Law and is a member of the California Bar (Inactive). He holds a BA (Magna Cum Laude) from Denison University. He is a Life Trustee of Denison. Paul has been a member of its investment committee since 1999. He is the Co-founder and former Chairman of the Navy SEAL Foundation New England. Previously he has been on the Advisory Board of the CSIS (Center for Strategic and International Studies) and a member of the Private Sector Advisory Group to the Department of Homeland Security. Paul’s and his wife, Ingrid, are based in Boston and Santa Fe, New Mexico, and have four sons. Two were Majors in the Marine Corps, a Cobra pilot and a Harrier pilot, and one is an active-duty Navy SEAL based in Virginia Beach. To round things out, one of their daughters-in-law is a Major in the Air Force and teaches in the ROTC program at MIT. As a family we have seen numerous deployments to Afghanistan, Iraq and locations around the Indo- Pacific.

The Honorable Paula J. Dobriansky

Paula is a foreign policy expert and former diplomat specializing in national security affairs. She is a Senior Fellow in the Future of Diplomacy Project at ’s JFK Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs and Vice Chair of the Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security at the Atlantic Council.

From 2010 - 2012, Ambassador Dobriansky was Senior Vice President and Global Head of Government and Regulatory Affairs at Thomson Reuters. In this position, she was responsible for designing and implementing a corporate approach for engagement in Washington, D.C. and other key capitals around the globe. During this time, she was also appointed the Distinguished National Security Chair at the U.S. Naval Academy.

Ambassador Dobriansky served as Under Secretary of State for Global Affairs from 2001 to 2009. Among her primary accomplishments, she established and led the U.S.-India, U.S.-China, and U.S.- Brazil Global Issues Fora -- which advanced crucial work and international cooperation on environment, energy, health, development, and humanitarian issues. Additionally, she was head of delegation and lead negotiator on U.S. climate change policy.

In February 2007, as the President's Envoy to Northern Ireland, Ambassador Dobriansky received the Secretary of State’s highest honor, the Distinguished Service Medal, for her contribution to the historic devolution of power in Belfast. During her more than 25 years in national security affairs, Ambassador Dobriansky has held many Senate-confirmed and senior level positions in the U.S. Government including Director of European and Soviet Affairs at the National Security Council, the White House, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Human Rights and Humanitarian Affairs, Deputy Head of the U.S. Delegation to the 1990 Copenhagen Conference on Security and Cooperation in Europe (CSCE) and Associate Director for Policy and Programs at the United States Information Agency.

From 1997- 2001, Ambassador Dobriansky served as Senior Vice President and Director of the Washington Office of the Council on Foreign Relations and was the first George F. Kennan Senior Fellow for Russian and Eurasian Studies. During this time, she also served on the Presidentially-appointed U.S. Advisory Commission on Public Diplomacy.

A member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the American Academy of Diplomacy, Ambassador Dobriansky serves on the Defense Policy Board and the Secretary of State's Foreign Affairs Policy Board. She is a Trustee of the Trilateral Commission, on the Advisory Board of Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service and Chair of the Bush Center's Women's Initiative Policy Advisory Council. Previous boards include the Western NIS Enterprise Fund, Smith Richardson Foundation, and National Endowment for Democracy (Vice Chair), George Mason University Board of Visitors and the World Affairs Councils of America as Chairman of the National Board.

She received a B.S.F.S. summa cum laude in International Politics from Georgetown University School of Foreign Service and a M.A. and Ph.D. in Soviet political/military affairs from Harvard University. She is a Fulbright-Hays scholar, Ford and Rotary Foundation Fellow, a member of Phi Beta Kappa and a recipient of various honors such as the Foreign Policy Association Medal for her service to country and leadership of the World Affairs Councils of America and the International Republican Institute's Women's Democracy Network Jeane J. Kirkpatrick Award (2008). She has received other high-level international recognition including the Commander Cross of the Order of Merit of Poland, Poland's Highest Medal of Merit, Grand Cross of Commander of the Order of the Lithuanian Grand Duke Gediminas, National Order "Star of Romania", Hungary’s Commander’s Cross Order of Merit and Ukraine’s Order of Merit. She has also received three Honorary Doctorates of Humane Letters, one Honorary Doctorate of Laws and one Honorary Doctorate of International Affairs.

Philip L. Dunmire Phil is a past national president of the Navy League of the United States. The Navy league is a civilian organization founded in 1902, which is dedicated to supporting the US Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard and Merchant Marine. Among its missions is educating American citizens and elected officials about the importance of sea power.

Phil has been an active member of the Navy League since 1988. He has served in many capacities at the local council and national level. For six years he was the chair of the national public relations committee of the organization. He was also national Vice president responsible for youth programs.

For meritorious service as a US Army Transportation Corps Captain in the Republic of Vietnam, Phil was awarded the Bronze Star Medal. He served a total of 11 years on active duty and the reserve with command and staff positions in Germany and the United States as well as RVN.

Upon graduation from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Phil began a 26-year career with First Wisconsin Trust Company. He established First Wisconsin Trust Company of Florida (now part of US Bank) in West Palm Beach. Subsequently he was Chairman of Merchants Bancorp of Pennsylvania. Phil and his wife Linda reside in Wellington, Florida.

Daniel E. Holland III

Dan Holland is a managing director in the Investment Management Division in Boston, where he serves as region head for the firm's Private Wealth Management (PWM) business in New England. Previously, he had responsibility for the Global Securities Services (GSS) business in the Boston region, responsible for Prime Brokerage, Capital Introduction and Relationship Management with hedge fund clients. Before that, he was co-manager of Prime Brokerage Sales in New York and managed Fixed Income Prime Brokerage.

Prior to joining GSS in 2001, Dan was in the Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities (FICC) Division, where he headed the Institutional Client Services, Dealer Sales and PWM Sales trading teams. From 1999 to 2000, he was chief operating officer of FICC North American Sales. Dan joined Goldman Sachs in 1987 as a Fixed Income Sales generalist in Boston. He became co-resident manager of the Boston office and head of FICC in Boston in 1997. Dan was named managing director in 1999.

Dan served in the U.S. Navy as lieutenant, surface warfare officer from 1981 to 1985 and in the U.S. Naval Reserve as an intelligence officer from 1986 to 1990.

Dan earned an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1987 and a BA in Economics from Boston College in 1979. He serves on the board of the New England Center for Homeless Veterans and is on the advisory boards of both the Boston College CaiToll School of Management and the Center for Asset Management at Boston College.

Dan and his wife, Deborah, have four children and live in Sherborn, Massachusetts.

David Hunter

David joined Hewlett Packard Enterprise in 2015 and is currently the Vice President of Strategy for the Hewlett Packard Research Lab within Hewlett Packard Enterprise. Previously positions include: Vice President of Technology in the Office of the CTO; Chief Technology Officer for the Converged Datacenter Infrastructure Division and Vice President/Chief Technologist for the Software Defined Datacenter Division. He also serves as an advisor to the Hewlett Packard Enterprise Venture Capital Pathfinder program, which focuses on investing in mid-stage startups within the enterprise computing space.

Prior to HPE, David was at VMware, Inc. from 2004 to 2015, where he last served as the Chief Architect for the Software Defined Data Center (SDDC) Division and led technical and business evaluations of new technologies with a heavy focus on enterprise security architectures, distributed computing infrastructure for new cloud workloads and the integration of products across the company’s product portfolio. Previous roles at VMware included: Chief Technology Officer for Platform Security; Chief Technology Officer for Worldwide Public Sector; Senior Director R&D Engineering and Director of Partner & Ecosystems Engineering. Before joining VMware, David was a member of the early stage start-up SQU Systems, where he worked on extending his previous research in binary translation and optimization systems to the area of non-disruptive operating system upgrades. David started his career in 1983 and over the years held various engineering, research and management positions with Digital Equipment Corporation and Compaq Computer Corporation.

David holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Northeastern University in Boston, MA and is a graduate of both the Naval War College in Newport, RI and the National Defense University’s Joint Staff College in Norfolk, VA. He is the author of several patents and has had his work published in professional refereed journals. A longtime supporter of educational institutions, he currently serves as a member of Northeastern University’s Electrical & Computer Engineering Industry Advisory Board in Boston, MA a Trustee at the Naval War College Foundation, a founding member of National University’s Cyber Security and Information Assurance Advisory Council and a former member of the Secretary of the Navy Reserve Policy Board. David retired from the U.S. Navy in 2016 after 31 years of active and reserve service as a surface warfare officer. He and his wife have one child and reside in Mountain View, CA.

Carl C. Liebert

Carl Liebert is a global business executive and board member with more than 30 years of experience leading customer-driven transformations and creating shareholder value within retail (AutoNation, 24Hour Fitness, The Home Depot, Circuit City), financial services (USAA), and industrial (General Electric) organizations.

Most recently Carl served as Chief Executive Officer and President of AutoNation [NYSE: AN], America’s largest automotive retailer, where he was recruited by its Executive Chairman and Board of Directors after significant turnover of Board and leadership team to lead the company through a period of tremendous opportunity and evolution in the mobility industry. During his tenure, AN delivered 2 quarters of EPS beat - rebuilding confidence after prior years of declining performance, and Carl developed a strategy for both Extension growth and AutoNation Experience Platform, launched One Nation, One Team, One Purpose moving from top-down/hub & spoke hierarchy leadership team to a distributed, transparent, collaborative operating , and stabilized the field management team, upgraded necessary talent quickly, and stabilized existing leadership team.

Prior to being appointed Chief Executive Officer and President of AutoNation, Carl spent six years at USAA, a full service financial services company, serving nearly 13 million member customers, primarily military personnel, military retirees, and their families, most recently as EVP, Chief Operating Officer. In this role, he led USAA’s business strategy and operations functions across the U.S. and overseas, including full P&L accountability for $28B in revenue and over $4.5B in profits for USAA’s Bank, Investment, Life, Property and Casualty, and its commercial Real Estate Company. He was also responsible for delivering integrated and seamless omni-channel experiences through USAA’s website, tablet, mobile devices, voice and emerging channels while maintaining world-class Net Promoter Score (NPS) performance in service to members. Throughout his career, he is known for bringing an agile, innovative and design-driven mindset developed from extensive customer service and process excellence experience. He previously served on USAA’s Board of Directors and joined as an operating executive in 2013.

Prior to joining USAA, Carl was the President and Chief Executive Officer of 24Hour Fitness, the world’s largest privately owned and operated fitness center chain and third in number of clubs. In this role, he led the operations of 415 fitness clubs across the United States and Asia. Carl was also an Executive Vice President and Head of Supply Chain and Stores worldwide for The Home Depot, the world’s largest home improvement retailer with nearly 300,000 employees and more than 2,200 stores in the US, Canada and Mexico. In addition, Carl opened the first stores in China as well as establishes a global supply chain that included offices in Asia and throughout Europe. Carl also held general management roles with General Electric and Circuit City, following his tour as a Naval Officer. While in the Navy, he served as a supply corps officer onboard USS Caloosahatchee as well as holding several roles at the Navy Supply Corps School in Athens, GA.

This strong commitment to serving others continues today. He currently serves as a board member for the V Foundation for Cancer Research, the Naval War College Foundation Board of Directors, and the Naval Academy Foundation Athletic & Scholarship Program. Formerly, he served as Chairman of the Board for the USAA Real Estate Company and Vice Chairman of the Board for the USAA Bank. Prior roles include the Consumer Bankers Association Board of Directors, Board member for the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS), Veterans of Foreign Wars Foundation Board of Directors; the Board of Directors for the children’s non-profit organization, KaBoom!; the Naval Academy’s Vice Admiral James B. Stockdale Center for Ethical Leadership; and the Deming Center for Quality, Productivity and Competitiveness at Columbia Business School.

Carl has a Six Sigma master black belt, is a member of the Global 50 since 2016, is a contributor with the Bain B10 CEO Global Banking Consortium, holds a master’s degree in business administration from Vanderbilt University and a degree from the United States Naval Academy, where he helped lead the 1986 Midshipmen team to a 30-5 record and Elite 8 NCAA tournament appearance.

Carl and his wife, Amy, are proud parents of three sons and two grandchildren. They reside in Austin, TX where Carl is advising CEO’s in Retail & Financial Services, Private Equity Firms, and a host of start-up companies.

The Honorable Juliette C. McLennan

The Honorable Juliette C. McLennan – known as Judy, is retired from the U.S. Government where she served as The U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women under President George H. W. Bush. Judy also served as The Manager of Blair House, The President’s Guest House under President Ronald Reagan. During President George H. W. Bush’s inauguration, Judy was the Protocol Chief whereby she organized the Diplomatic Corps’ attendance at various Inaugural activities. Judy is the founder and President of the C. Thomas Clagett Jr. Memorial Clinic/Regatta for sailors with disabilities. She is a past member of the U.S. Sailing Committee for Sailors with Disabilities and The Seamen’s Church Institute of Newport. Judy currently serves on the The Newport Hospital Foundation and it’s Nominating Committee. Throughout her life, Judy has been very active on numerous International, National and Local charitable and civic Boards of Directors. Including U.S. Friends of the World Food Program, The Committee for a New Ireland and the International Center for Research on Women. Judy has received a variety of awards including, The Sister Ester Sailing Achievment Award from Salve Regina University, The Superior Honor Award, US Department of State and the 2010 Newport Daily News Community Service Award. Judy is now an Associate Member of the Canadian Ski instructors Alliance and was a Founder and Co-Owner of a ski- school in Canada. She is also an Associate Life Member of The Fraternal Order of Police and an Associate Member of the Talbot County Garden Club in Maryland. Judy was born in Washington, DC and currently resided in Portsmouth, RI with her three labradors. She has two grown children and one grandchild.

Michael W. Coulter

Michael Coulter is Senior Vice President of Business Development for Leonardo DRS, and President of Leonardo DRS International. Leonardo DRS is a leading supplier of integrated products, services, and support to military forces, intelligence agencies, and prime defense contractors worldwide and a leader across a range of state-of-the-art technologies.

Most recently, Coulter led the global growth of Leonardo DRS’ international business. Prior to joining Leonardo DRS, Coulter worked for General Dynamics, where he led the corporation’s international business development activities. He joined the aerospace and defense industry after a career in the U. S. government, as a member of the Senior Executive Service. At the Department of Defense, Coulter served as Assistant Secretary of Defense (Acting), Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Affairs, and Principal Deputy for Strategic Plans and Policy on the Joint Staff.

Before his time at the Pentagon, Coulter served at the Department of State as Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Political-Military Affairs, Coordinator for Coalition Operations, and Foreign Policy Advisor to the Commanding General of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. He began his government career on Capitol Hill, working national security and foreign and military policy for former Senators John Warner, R-Va., and Chuck Hagel, R-Neb., the former Secretary of Defense.

A reserve officer in the U.S. Navy with multiple combat tours and experience in the Middle East, Europe, Asia and Africa, Coulter, in his military capacity, has also served within the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, the Joint Staff, the Defense Intelligence Agency, the Office of Naval Intelligence, and the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations. He has also accumulated flight hours in the EA-18 Growler and EA-6B Prowler across multiple deploymentts.

Coulter earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Maryland and master’s degrees in business administration and national security studies from Georgetown University and the U.S. Naval War College, respectively.

Coulter has been honored with numerous awards for his military and civilian service including the Secretary of Defense Outstanding Service Medal, the Department of State Superior Honor Award, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Award for Distinguished Service, the U.S. Army Superior Civilian Service Award and several NATO, Afghanistan Campaign, and Global War on Terrorism Medals. He resides in Alexandria, Va., with his wife, Jennifer, and their three children.

VADM Allen G. Myers, USN (Ret.)

Allen is Vice President, Navy & Marine Corps, Lockheed Martin Government Affairs. He is responsible for liaison with the U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Coast Guard on all matters concerning Platforms and Systems.

Prior to joining Lockheed Martin in 2014, he completed over 35 years of service in the U.S. Navy. During that time, he was extensively involved in Tactical Aerospace & Naval Ship Operations and Training. He has commanded an F-14 Fighter Squadron, the Fast Combat Support Ship USS SACRAMENTO (AOE-1), the Aircraft Carrier USS KITTY HAWK (CV-63), the EISENHOWER Carrier Strike Group during combat operations in Iraq & Afghanistan, and was the Commander of Naval Air Forces. His Washington experience ranges from evaluation and integration of aerospace & ship requirements and capabilities to the overall balancing all programs within the Department of the Navy budget through assignments as the Navy’s lead for the Joint Capabilities Integration Development System (N81D), Director of Air Warfare (N88), Director of Warfare Integration (N8F), and Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Integration of Capabilities and Resources (N8). (Updated as of 8 Feb 19) He earned an undergraduate degree from the U.S. Air Force Academy, and a Master’s Degree from Salve Regina University. He is also a graduate the Navy’s Fighter Weapons School (Top Gun) and of the Naval War College, and was awarded a Master’s Degree in National Security Policy from the Naval War College.

Douglas L. Newhouse

Doug is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Sterling Investment Partners. Sterling is a mid-market focused private equity firm which Doug co-founded in 1991. Sterling is funded by institutional investors which include both domestic and foreign pensions, endowments, sovereign wealth funds, money managers and charitable institutions.

He is involved in all aspects of Sterling’s investment activities including its investment committee, sourcing opportunities, negotiating and structuring transactions and working with management teams after the initial investment. Doug has served on the boards of numerous private and public companies since Sterling’s inception. Prior to co-founding Sterling, he was a Senior Vice President in the Corporate Finance Department of Lehman Brothers where he worked for eight years. Prior to that, he was a Vice President of the Matuschka Group in Munich, West Germany where he worked for two years.

Doug is currently on the Board of Trustees of IYRS, based in Newport and the Newport Historical Society where he is a member of the Executive Committee. He has been on the boards of the Pequot Library in Southport, Connecticut and the Undergraduate Business School Council at Cornell University. He also served for many years as the Head of the Investment Committee of the endowment for Greens Farms Academy in Westport, Connecticut.

Doug earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Cornell University and an MBA from the Graduate School of Business at the University of Chicago.

Doug and his wife, Holly Bannister, MD, have two grown children both of whom live and work in New York City. His principal residence is in Weston, CT; he also has homes in Newport, Rhode Island and Stratton Mountain, VT. He loves sports and outdoor activities. He is an avid sailor, golfer, skier and biker.

Joseph G. Nicholas is Founder and Chairman of HFR Group LLC and its affiliated companies. The HFR companies specialize in alternative investments, performance indices and research services. HFR Group includes Hedge Fund Research, Inc., and its subsidiaries, HFR Index, LLC, HFR Research, LLC, HFR Index Administration, LLC, and HFR Risk Premia Analytics, LLC. HFR is the established global industry leader in the indexation, analysis and research of the global hedge fund industry. Mr. Nicholas is author of Hedge Fund of Funds Investing (Bloomberg Press; December 2003); Market Neutral Investing (Bloomberg Press: August 2000); Investing in Hedge Funds (Bloomberg Press: August 2005) among others. He is a frequent lecturer on topics relating to alternative investments. Mr. Nicholas received a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce from DePaul University and a Juris Doctor degree from the Northwestern University School of Law.

Daniel P. Quigley

Daniel is majority owner and President of SGL/ARCRITE Automation, a robotic systems design, fabrication and integration business focused on industrial applications. He is also President of Mowhawk Ventrues a family office focused on investing in early stage ventures and real estate development. Daniel also serves as a board member/advisor for most portfolio investments.

Virginia Rynne Richard

Virginia Rynne Richard attended the Friends Academy in Locust Valley, New York. She later attended college at Manhatanville College and was graduated in 1965 with a baccalaureate degree in European History. She earned her law degree from New York University Law School in 1969. She was admitted to practice in New York, Colorado and before the U.S. Supreme Court.

She joined the firm Kane, Dalsimer and Kane in 1969 and became a Litigation Partner responsible for major trademark and copy infringement litigation before Federal Courts throughout the United States. She also handled worldwide trademark litigation cases on behalf of British American Tobacco Corporation and other global trademark owners.

Ms. Richard left Kane Dalsimer in 1999 to become a partner in the international law firm of Winston & Strawn. At Winston, she was head of the Intellectual Property Department and was responsible for the conduct of trademark and copyright litigation matters worldwide on behalf of The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America, FAGE S.A. (Greek yogurt), Loews Corporation and many other major U.S. and foreign corporations. She was named a Top Litigation Attorney by the magazine Super Lawyers, was featured in Best Lawyers in America, and earned a place in Who’s Who in American Law.

In 2014, she left Winston & Strawn to assume the position as Chairman of the Board and CEO of TDG Aerospace, Inc., an aerospace parts manufacturer located in Escondido, California, a position she holds to this day.

Ms. Richard was a member of and chaired a number of trademark law committees of the New York Intellectual Property Law Association (1990-1996), served on the Editorial Board of the Trademark Reporter (1988-1989), and frequently lectured at the Practicing Law Institute, International Trademark Association and other continuing legal education organizations and is the author of a number of articles on trademark and copyright law.

Currently, Ms. Richard holds positions on the boards of the following organizations: The Richard Foundation, TDG Aerospace, Inc., The American Museum in Great Britain and the York Country Club. She currently resides in York Harbor, Maine.

Kevin J. Rochford

Kevin manages Bessemer’s Chicago office as Managing Director and Regional Director. Prior to Bessemer, Mr. Rochford was a Managing Director for Nuveen Investments. Previously, he spent 13 years with Northern Trust, most recently as Chairman and CEO of Northern Trust’s Western Region. Mr. Rochford also held roles as the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, Bankers Trust, and Chemical Banking Corporation. Mr. Rochford served as an artillery officer in the U.S Marine Corps after college.

Barbara Braun Schoenfeld

Barbara is a business strategist. She is Managing Director of Saffron LLC, a privately held firm focused on organizational strategy.

She is an angel investor and is a longtime member of the steering committee of Cherrystone Angel Group. She serves on the board of Florence Health, an online community of frontline nursing professionals. Barbara is involved in innovation circles, often serving as a mentor and judge.

Her current non-profit board leadership includes Vice Chair and Executive Committee member of the Newport Art Museum and President of a private charitable foundation. Recent non-profit board leadership includes Vice Chairmanship of Trinity Repertory Company and Board Member of the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce.

She served as Chief Operating Officer of Brown Brothers Harriman & Co.'s Alternative Investments business. Prior to that, she served as the Deputy Treasurer/General Counsel of the Rhode Island State Treasury. Later, she established a search business recruiting executives for hedge funds and other financial institutions. Early on in her career, she was an associate at the law firms of Ropes & Gray and Edwards & Angell (now, Locke Lord).

Barbara holds a law degree from Boston University Law School. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts (cum laude), a Masters of Social Work and a Masters of City Planning.

She lives in Providence, Rhode Island and Newport, Rhode Island, is married to Larry J. Schoenfeld, M.D. and has three sons, a son-in-law and two grandchildren.

Dwight Sipprelle

Dwight Sipprelle is the Managing Partner of Sipprelle Capital Partners, a family office. In addition to the Naval War College Foundation, he serves on the boards of the Newport Historical Society and The Aquidneck Land Trust.

Between 2000 and 2008, Dwight founded and led Arx Investment Management, one of the 100 largest hedge funds during that period. Before Arx, he was a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley where he started and ran the Global High Yield Department and was a member of the firm's Risk Practices Committee.

Dwight, a Baker Scholar from Harvard Business School and a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Williams College, is the son and grandson of career Foreign Service officers. He grew up in Latin America, Europe and the Middle East. Dwight is married to Susan, an award winning documentary filmmaker. Together they have five children and split their time between Rhode Island and New York City.

Archbold van Beuren

Mr. van Beuren divides his time between roles in Corporate Governance, Family Office oversight, and Philanthropy. He spent the majority of his career as a business leader at the Campbell Soup Company.

He serves on the boards of directors of the Campbell Soup Company, an $8B Net Sales branded food company; Bissell Inc, a $1B Net Sales leader in homecare durables; and Brandywine Trust Group, a non-depository Trust Company and wealth management entity with $10B AUM. He chairs the governance committee at Campbell Soup, and serves as Vice Chairman of Brandywine and Bissell where he chairs the audit and governance committees respectively. He sits on the American Advisory Board of Christie’s auction house.

During his twenty-six years at Campbell Soup Mr. van Beuren served in numerous leadership roles including: President of Global Sales and Chief Customer Officer, President of Campbell’s Canada, Mexico and Latin America, President of Godiva Chocolatier, and Managing Director of Campbell’s U.K. Grocery Division. In November 2009 he was elected to Campbell’s Board of Directors.

On the Philanthropy side, Mr. van Beuren is past chair of the van Beuren Charitable Foundation, a Rhode Island based not for profit committed to enhancing the quality of life and quality of place on Aquidneck Island. The foundation supports initiatives in healthcare, education, economic development, urban planning and historic preservation in the state of Rhode Island. He currently serves as a board member and chairs the Nominating Committee.

Mr. van Beuren earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from in 1979, and his MBA in finance from Columbia University in 1983.

He and his wife Helene reside in Bryn Mawr, PA with their two children. Helene is active in animal welfare causes. She is past Board Chair of the Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and continues to serve on the board. She also serves on the boards of the Robert Potter League, a Rhode Island animal shelter and the Bissell Pet Foundation.

Mitchell B. Waldman

Mitchell “Mitch” B. Waldman is executive vice president of government and customer relations for Huntington Ingalls Industries, America’s largest military shipbuilding company and a provider of professional services to partners in government and industry.

Named to this position in 2011, Waldman is responsible for leading the corporation’s engagements with Congress, the Department of Defense and all other federal offices and agencies and is directly involved in supporting company business objectives. He is based in Washington, D.C.

Prior to this appointment and since 2009, Waldman served as vice president, business development of advanced programs and technology, for Northrop Grumman’s Aerospace Systems sector. Before joining Northrop Grumman, Waldman served as national security advisor for former Sen. Trent Lott and as a national security consultant to the office of the Senate Majority Leader. Waldman has served in a number of executive positions for the U.S. Navy, including deputy assistant secretary of the Navy (SHIPS), director of cost engineering and industrial analysis for Naval Sea Systems Command, and deputy program manager for Amphibious Warfare Programs. He has also served as project manager for the U.S. Navy’s Small Boat Security Assistance Program and completed several senior-level staff assignments with the Navy and the Defense Department.

Waldman earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Florida and a law degree from Catholic University. He is also a graduate of Yale University’s Executive Management Program and the Defense Systems Management College Program Managers course. He’s been honored with the U.S. Navy Distinguished Civilian Service Award, the State of Mississippi Distinguished Civilian Service Award and the D.C. City Council of Engineering Societies Architect of the Year award.

He serves on the board of directors for the Shipbuilders Council of America, the National Bureau of Asian Research, the Armed Services YMCA, and the Naval Aviation Museum Foundation. He is also a member of the External Advisory Board for the University of Florida’s department of mechanical and aerospace engineering.
