Alternative Spring Break trip was a success! Shout out to our Illinois fraternity and sorority members that immersed themselves in serving the New Orleans community and living out their fraternal value of service. 17 students and 4 FSA staff members representing 18 Greek organizations and 3 councils came together for a meaningful and fun week!

Moms Weekend Plan on attending a Moms Weekend favorite, the Illini Union Board's Moms Day Craft Fair, held in the Illini Union on Saturday, April 13, starting at 10:00 a.m. Browse the booths of dozens of different craft vendors and make sure to stop by the Moms Association Sales table. This year the Moms Association will be selling various items, including the Moms Association Cookbook and Moms Association Tote Bags! All proceeds of the Moms Association support University of Illinois students and parents. Volunteer Opportunities National Volunteer Week: April 6-12 Community and Campus Day of Service, April 5. Kick off National Volunteer Week 2014 (April 6-12) by helping package 147,000 meals - one thousand for every year of public engagement since the University was chartered - for local foodbanks to be distributed to needy families in East Central Illinois. Hundreds of volunteers are needed for packaging this "Illinois" meal project as well as a number of other projects being planned to benefit the local community. Boneyard Creek Community Day: The ninth annual Community Day is scheduled for Saturday, April 12, 2014 from 9 a.m. until noon at Scott Park. This event brings together campus and community volunteers to clean-up litter and invasive plants from sites all over Champaign-Urbana. Lunch, music, and educational displays at Scott Park follow the clean-up. Organizing partners include the University, the Cities, the Park Districts, and several others.
