Dear Councillors, Plymouth Citybus have operated Service 46, Plymouth - Tavistock - Okehampton, since May 2014. The arrangement takes the form of a Devon County Council-contracted extension to Okehampton of the company’s commercial operations between Plymouth and Tavistock. This has enabled them from the start to provide a greater level of service than the Council had originally specified, particularly with regard to through services to and from Plymouth. Citybus are now making a number of changes, to take effect from Tuesday 29th March (i.e. after Easter Monday). This reflects their reduction in commercial provision between Plymouth and Tavistock and the knock-on effect on journeys north of Tavistock and is not brought about by any budgetary or other changes by the County Council. The main changes are as follows: •Some times are changed. Buses will now leave Tavistock Bus Station at 30 minutes past the hour instead of 25. The 1440 from Okehampton Fore Street will now leave at 1420. •The 0930 and 1330 from Tavistock Bus Station and 1040 and 1420 from Okehampton Fore Street will operate direct from Mary Tavy to Lydford, and will not serve Brentor. This is because the 0930 and 1040 will be operated by a double-deck bus, so cannot operate under the old railway bridge at Lydford, while the bus which operates the 1330 and 1420 now needs to be back in Tavistock in time to operate the 1520 journey from Tavistock School. •Some journeys will no longer operate as a through service to or from Plymouth – the 0725, 1140, 1420 and 1640 from Okehampton Fore Street and 0830, 1330, 1530 and 1740 from Tavistock Bus Station.

Minutes of the Extraordinary Meeting of the Chagford Parish Council held at Endecott House on Monday 25th November 2019 commencing at 7.30 p.m. Prior to the meeting Mr. Chris Earp and Mr. Martin Hann requested to speak to the Council about the new proposed plans for Woodcote. The previous plans for five houses were refused by Dartmoor National Park Authority, the plans then went to appeal but were again turned down. The proposed new plans are designed with smaller dwellings, more parking and a house suitable for supported living. NB. This report was prepared on 10 January 2017 in order to provide an update – this is not the final consultation and engagement report. Your Future Care – in numbers We have spoken to more than 2000 people so far via public events, meetings and roadshows There have been 16 public consultation events and 27 roadshows held by the CCG so far, with more to take place between now and the end of the consultation The CCG has been in attendance at 15 other events where we were invited to attend (Council related meetings other community meetings) We have carried out 18 pop-ins, in local communities so far, with more planned We have distributed more than 14,000 consultation documents and 55,000 summary documents We have distributed more than 200 copies of the consultation document in alternative formats – easy read, large print, audio and braille We have sent out more than 2500 copies of posters to public places, community groups and individuals advertising public events and roadshows We have issued more than 20 press releases to local media to advertise the consultation itself, public events and roadshows, as well as paid advertising.

On Wednesday Goose Fair day provided us with the opportunity to focus on the continuous professional development of our staff. The focus was on retrieval and improving the long term memory Key Dates of our students, and then on strategies for improving boys Look at Life in the Navy - Residential attainment. This research based input was then built on by our 14 - 18 October faculty leads to tailor it within subject areas to develop strategies and resources Lympstone - Mr Hosking that will really accelerate the progress of our students. Then on Thursday I Political Speed Dating took a group of Year 10 students to visit Schneider Electric in Plymouth to Wednesday, 16 October attend a ‘Women in Industry’ day. This provided a unique opportunity to visit 10:00am – 12:00pm - Innovation Centre the factory and go on a tour of a modern multinational engineering company. - Mr Ruse Furthermore the students heard about a range of options for their future study Year 11 Parents/Carers evening such as higher level apprenticeships and ‘year in industry’ schemes which can Thursday, 17 October form a part of a University degree or act as a valuable prelude to those years 3:45 – 6:45pm - Hall - Refectory in Higher Education. The Community Justice Court in Plymouth the Community Justice Court in Plymouth Has Now Been Operation for Over a Year
Issue 3 – December 2008 Welcome to the third Community Justice Update. Eighteen months since the start of the project there has been a great deal of change and exciting developments. This brief newsletter provides you with an update on the progress made in both elements of the Community Justice Initiative Explaining the Community Justice Initiative in 2008 and onwards We are still running the Community Justice Initiative through a project management structure, with a multi-agency Steering Group providing a decision-making forum. The Senior Responsible Officer for the Initiative has changed from David Gentry to Steve Cross (Head of Operations, Her Majesty’s Courts Service). Changes to the national Community Justice Programme now means work locally is split into two elements: innovation (including problem solving) and community engagement. Innovation The Community Justice Initiative Steering Group has recently agreed to expand the Community Justice Court principles to cases from across the city of Plymouth. This will remove the ‘two tier’ system. Further innovation such as: community impact statements pilot (Devon and Cornwall) and supporting life events problem solving model (Cornwall). Community Engagement Her Majesty’s Courts Service (HMCS) are required to increase community engagement by Magistrates’ across the country. In Devon and Cornwall a new member of staff, Tori Tweedie, is doing this. Tori joined the Local Criminal Justice Board (LCJB) support team in August 2008 and you can read more about her, and the work she is involved in, later in this newsletter.
