Aims & objectives :
SEWA’s main Aim and object is to look after the Senior Citizens whose welfare and maintenance are not being taken care by their children, especially their sons, daughters, daughters-in-law and sons-in-law and others upon whom the burden of maintenance lies.
SEWA has come forward to take care of such persons who are living in such a pathetic and miserable situation. In view of this SEWA wants to admit them into this home without expecting any fnancial or any sort of help from them or from their people and the main object and motto is look after their welfare by providing them food ,shelter ,clothing and good medical care.
SEWA will attend to the treatment of minor ailments such as cough, fever, headache and any other major ailments involving their family members and relatives so that they are well attended and treated well. Their family members and relatives are also allowed to visit this home to know the welfare of their loved ones.
This home wants to render these services whole heartedly with out expecting any monetary beneft and other proftable motives and provide these old people a happy and fruitful days ahead in the last part of their life.
ABOUT OUR ORGANISATION SEWA :
SOCIETY TO EMPOWER WOMEN ACTION ( SEWA ) was established in the year 2001 and expresses their happiness for their yeoman service declaration to bring greater awareness among the citizens of India especially Tuni and its surrounding places in Andhra Pradesh and achieved good results. By the gracious blessings of God and generous contributions from our beloved Donors, SEWA is able to undertake the following programs till now with a holistic approach beneftting many people irrespective of their caste, creed or religion.
Women Empowerment Children Care Old Age Home Free Medical Camps. Clothes distribution. Relief for the poor.
Among the above programs, we have been operating a Children Home ASHIRVAD ( meaning Blessing ) for the past 16 years and we have started this children home in the year 2003 with 10 children and today we are taking care of 120 children aged from 6 to 20 years.
We had also started an Old Age Home AASRA ( meaning Support ) with 20 old people who are destitute, neglected and in a very pathetic situation. We were able to run this Home only for few months as we could not get the much needed funds to continue this Old Age Home.
In the recent Management Committee of SEWA, it has been decided to establish a specifed Home for the Senior Citizens with all sorts of amenities by feeding them with good food, providing neat clothes and safe shelter, give them good medical care and treatment as and when necessary.

The new program of starting an Old Age Home will be benefcial to the senior citizens of Tuni and its surrounding villages as we have found that there are many old people in this area who are desperately in need of helping hand for their well being and medical care. In view of these fndings that there are many old people who are not being taken care properly our committee has decided to start this Old Age Home. So to make it a successful program we have decided to go as per the following steps :
After thorough enquiry, old people from diferent places will be admitted in this home.
Proper diet will be served to each old aged person according to his or her health Condition.
Regular checkup by doctors will be provided.
Pleasant and neat environment will be maintained by the management.
A separate Dormitory will be provided both for male and female inmates.
All sorts of entertainment and devotional programs will be conducted by the management.
Regular clothes will be given by the management for the residents according to their necessity.
PLANS AND SERVICES:
From the experience of SEWA, it has been found that there are many old people sufering from lack of food, shelter, clothes and medical care. By this survey our society has decided to start a new Home for the aged and we may not be able to help all but atleast some of them. To start up a new home for the aged, the main criteria is suitable land in the out skirts of the town which is suitable for Old age home in a non-polluted environment which can bring peace of mind and holy atmosphere to the human being. The proper housekeeping is also very much necessary for this old age home to maintain neatness. The food which is given to the resident is only cooked as per the directions of the dietitian who is the authorized dietitian and as such they can suggest the proper diet to the old aged people so that they may not face any sort of health problems due to food. The prescribed food only will be served to the old age people at our home The maintenance of health is very important to the old aged people, in their advanced stage of life and the management will appoint a doctor to look after the health problems of the old people of our home and to see that they maintain good health. In any emergency the doctor will be available immediately. In regard to the maintenance, and clothing for individuals, the clothes are also provided by the management and for the washing of clothes a person is appointed for the said purpose.
The plan of the Society is to start this home with 50 beds and these beds will be housed in 2 dormitories which provides accommodation for 25 persons each with attached toilets and 1 room for administration ofce 1 room for stores and 1 room for kitchen 1, hall for dinning and 1 library. PROGRAM OPERTION :

13 Persons with experience are needed to run the old age home in a properly order.
