APIIC has identified around 1630 acres of land at Naidupeta (V), Naidupeta (M), Sri Potti Sri Ramulu (S.P.S.R.) Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh for the development of Industrial Park. In due respect to the EIA notification 2006 and (Protection) Act, 1986 SEZs/industrial parks require an Environmental Clearance (EC) under certain conditions from MoEF. In order to adhere to the policies and environmental sustainability, APIIC has appointed L&T Infrastructure Engineering Limited (L&TIEL) as Environmental Consultant to prepare Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Report. APIIC has identified around 1630 acres of land at Naidupeta (V), Naidupeta (M), Sri Potti Sri Ramulu (S.P.S.R.) Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh for the development of Industrial Park. Industrial sectors proposed within Naidupeta IP are predominantly Chemicals, Pharma/Bulk drugs, Textiles, Engineering, Glass, Cementaneous products etc. Total man power required for the IP is about 17500 no’s. The proposed site is located at Konetirajupalem and Menakuru villages, Naidupeta (M) in S.P.S.R.Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh. The site is in close proximity (about 85 km) from Chennai, with its large infrastructure base already in place. The site is also about 95 km from international airport of Chennai and about 44 km from Renigunta (Tirupati) airport. The site is approachable (about 8.0 km) from NH 5 which has already been expanded into a four lane being part of the PM's Golden Quadrilateral scheme. The Ennore port, the first corporatized port in the country is about 60 km from the site, the Naidupet railway station is around 8.0 km. The main access to the IP-Naidupeta is Naidupeta- Venkatagiri Road (MDR 3406). It is a two lane road with good riding quality. The basic infrastructure required for the development of IP-Naidupeta is Water, Roads, Power, and CETP, etc. The water demand for IP-Naidupeta has been estimated as 6.4 MLD. This will be sourced from Telugu Ganga Canal near Utlapalli Village, which is around 20 Km west of IP-Naidupeta. APIIC is in the process of seeking approval from I&CAD department to tap water from Telugu Ganga Canal. 1 MLD capacity CETP is proposed to treat industrial effluents. Treated effluent will be used for green belt development/Toilet Flushing/Industrial cooling, etc. The incoming power supply will be drawn from the nearest APSPDCL 132KV/33 KV substation through a 33KV Under Ground (UG) XLPE cable. The total estimated power demand for IP Naidupeta is 48.6 MVA. Municipal waste will be segregated into domestic and commercial waste.
