ATECH Services is the largest assistive technology organization in New Hampshire employing over 30 occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech and language pathologists, rehabilitation technologists, and educators. Sept. 2000 ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY PROJECT CONSULTANT To 2005 National AgrAbility Project University of Wisconsin – Madison Provide technical assistance consultation on agricultural worksite modifications; conduct national presentations on agricultural worksite modifications; develop technical materials related to farming and ranching with a disability for national dissemination. Jan, 1990- ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY CONSULTANT To Present Self-employed; Consulted with groups in rehabilitation and assistive technology programs . Provided training and presentations in 42 states; wrote and managed federal grants; conducted work site assessments for 1 2 employees with disabilities, completed over 200 work site evaluations for major corporations. Jan. 1993 - REHABILITATION ENGINEERING MANAGER Aug. 1993 National Rehabilitation Engineering Institute for Productivity, dba Andrews Machine Works; Erlanger, Kentucky Provided rehabilitation engineering services to farmers with disabilities; conducted on-site rehabilitation engineering assessments of residences and work sites; managed projects; supervised staff; wrote grants; conducted rehabilitation engineering related training programs; provided consultations on ADA guidelines and reasonable accommodations; conducted ergonomic evaluations. Dec. 1986 - DIRECTOR OF FARM FAMILY REHABILITATION Dec. 1992 MANAGEMENT (FaRM ) PROGRAM Easter Seal Society of Iowa, Inc.; Des Moines, Iowa Responsible for initial development of the program; wrote grants, developed and implemented subcontracts; supervised staff; developed mobile rehabilitation engineering unit; provided rehabilitation services to farm families affected by physical disabilities; provided consultations on agricultural work site modifications; presented at local, state, regional, national and international meetings on disability related issues; developed written and audio-visual materials; conducted research activities focused on prevention of secondary injuries and assistive technology service delivery systems. Sep. 1984 - REHABILITATION CONSULTANT - FaRM PROGRAM Nov. 1986 DIRECTOR (On leave Management Consulting and Rehabilitation Services, Inc.; Ankeny, Iowa Mar. 1985 - Jan. 1986) Developed and directed Farm Family Rehabilitation Management Program (for farm families affected by physical disabilities); provided consulting to industry on job modification and disability prevention; conducted labor market research studies; developed audio-visual materials; conducted presentations on disability issues; developed computerized system for data management; provided job placement services for a controlled number of clients.
