EcoFest, Pelican Island Wildlife Festival and the Goby Fest are all great festivals to enjoy the outdoors and learn about our natural resources! Surf Fest 2010

March 5th-14th Sebastian Inlet State Park

The Surf Fest will host three surf contests: Surfing America Prime series, a Grade 5 Junior Pro (the biggest in North America and Europe); The Collegiate Surfing Association will hold Florida State and East Coast Championships, which will include about 15 colleges and universities battling for the East Coast title; The U.S. Masters Professional Championship, an invitational event that will feature America's best and most iconic surfers age 40 and over.

LoPresti First Saturday Charity Breakfast & Presentation

Saturday, March 6th 9:00-11:30 a.m.

LoPresti Aviation Hangar 210 Airport Dr. East, Sebastian

Presentation by Dave Schwartz, test pilot for the Piper Jet Program. Charity breakfast event begins with coffee and full breakfast at 9 a.m., presentation from 10-11:30 a.m. The event will also be a celebration of the Boy Scout's Anniversary and benefits the Boy Scouts. Charity donation $5.

18th Annual Pelican Island Wildlife Festival

Saturday, March 13th 10 a.m.- 6 p.m.

Riverview Park, Sebastian This festival celebrates the anniversary of the establishment of Pelican Island National Wildlife Refuge, the Nation's 1st National Wildlife Refuge. The goal of the festival is to bring local conservation and natural resources together to promote conservation and educate the public about our treasured natural resources. Enjoy arts and crafts, boat and kayak tours, live wildlife, food, live entertainment and much more.

Star Party hosted by the Indian River Astronomical Society, at the Day Use Area, located 1/2 mile south of the Sebastian Inlet bridge, on the east side of A1A. 6th Annual Goby Fest

Saturday, March 27th 10 a.m.- 4 p.m.

St. Sebastian River Preserve State Park

Goby Fest is a nature festival to raise funds to support local state parks and aquatic preserves. The festival will include vendors, exhibitors and nature tours highlighting endangered and threatened species and a No Frills Poker Ride for equestrians. Activities include tours, kayak trips, wagon rides with a stop by a cracker cowboy camp demonstrations and displays, including one by the local herpetological society. Food and craft vendors also will be on hand. The festival provides a great opportunity for you to find out just how much your local State Park has to offer. All proceeds raised during this event will be used to support the St Sebastian River Preserve State Park, the Indian River Lagoon Preserve State Park and three aquatic preserves. Admission is free, though there is a nominal fee for the tours.

4th Annual Home & Garden Show
