    Habana Clásica es un nuevo encuentro alrededor de la música clásica en nuestro pais. Como director artístico, me gustaría darles la bienvenida y presentarles este grupo estelar de artistas representantes de diez países, que han venido para compartir la música que aman en una nueva realidad. Espero que disfruten, en este primer año, de lo que esperamos se convierta en una oportunidad continua para presentar artistas de todo el mundo y hacerles conocer al mismo tiempo nuestro patrimonio cultural. Este primer año nos complace dedicar Habana Clásica a la memoria del gran basso buffo Paolo Montarsolo. Paolo Montarsolo De formación artística scaligera, es decir “artísticamente crecido y lanzado en la Scala de Milán”, Paolo Montarsolo nace en Portici el 16 de marzo de 1925. “Representa el punto de convergencia entre el carácter concreto típico del Norte y la creatividad exuberante del Sur” (G. Gualerzi). Abandona los estudios academicos de Economía para dedicarse al canto, entrando como alumno en el Centro de perfeccionamiento para jóvenes artistas líricos de la Scala. Posteriormente entra a formar parte de los famosos Cadetti della Scala, haciendo su debut en el máximo teatro de Milán a la edad de 26 años en L’Osteria portoghese, de Cherubini. “En el papel de Rodrigo cualquiera diría que nos encontramos en frente de un cantante de gran experiencia. Su voz llega al auditorio aunque cante piano, posee una dicción de excepcional claridad, increíble continuidad gestual, intuición rápida y dominio total de sus capacidades musicales” (G. Confalonieri). El estudio riguroso, la musicalidad, el talento de actor, además de la alegría y la diversión al hacer su trabajo, lo han acompañado durante su larga carrera (1951-1997) jalonada de éxitos.

The Organization for Tropical Studies is a nonprofit consortium of 64 universities and research institutions from the U.S., Costa Rica, Peru, Mexico, South Africa, Canada and Australia. OTS was established in 1963 to provide leadership in education, research and the responsible use of natural resources in the tropics. We trained more than 180 graduate students, 80 undergraduate students and 75 profession- als in our one-of-a-kind intensive field courses in the biological sciences. Our training program ensures that the world has trained leaders in universities, research institutions, government and non-profit organizations to address global environmental issues. We assisted researchers pursuing 168 research projects at our biological stations in Costa Rica.

Este primer año nos complace dedicar Habana Clásica a la memoria del gran basso buffo Paolo Montarsolo. Paolo Montarsolo De formación artística scaligera, es decir “artísticamente crecido y lanzado en la Scala de Milán”, Paolo Montarsolo nace en Portici el 16 de marzo de 1925. “Representa el punto de convergencia entre el carácter concreto típico del Norte y la creatividad exuberante del Sur” (G. Gualerzi). Abandona los estudios academicos de Economía para dedicarse al canto, entrando como alumno en el Centro de perfeccionamiento para jóvenes artistas líricos de la Scala. Posteriormente entra a formar parte de los famosos Cadetti della Scala, haciendo su debut en el máximo teatro de Milán a la edad de 26 años en L’Osteria portoghese, de Cherubini.
