Synopsis A heartfelt and laugh-out-loud faith-based comedy film, CHURCH PEOPLE is the story of real people with real struggles and their unique paths to discovering what faith in Jesus is all about. It all starts when “America's youth pastor,” Guy Sides, realizes he’s stuck in the megachurch marketing machine and wants to find his passion again. But when Guy attempts to get back to the heart of ministry, he is thrust into the throes of dissuading his out of touch church leadership from performing a strange and potentially blasphemous stunt for the upcoming Easter service while navigating his own personal problems. CHURCH PEOPLE exposes the crazy heights some people will go in the evangelical subculture while revealing God’s abundant grace through a poignantly redemptive climax. Biographies

CHURCH PEOPLE Executive Producer Mike Lindell is best known as the inventor and CEO of MyPillow, although his notoriety as someone radically freed from the power of addiction is beginning to exceed even his MyPillow fame. His deep enthusiasm and heart for helping people recover from addiction are what have inspired him to launch the Lindell Recovery Network, an amazing platform that will help millions of people find recovery and Jesus through help, hope and mentorship.

Through the power of prayer, Mike was radically freed from a serious crack cocaine addiction over 10 years ago, and his journey from struggling entrepreneur to CEO of a multi-million-dollar company is nothing short of miraculous. Mike often describes the one- in-a-million events that have marked his pathway as just that - miracles.

Mike has a special knack for treating each of his employees as though they’re the most important person on earth, and that interpersonal gift spills over into all areas of his life. That includes his most important call: to help people get set free from addiction and find Jesus. Mike knew MyPillow was just a platform for God, and he has followed his calling to help bring people to Jesus and help give addicts hope so they can overcome their addictions.

Mike’s goal with the Lindell Recovery Network is to help millions of addicts get their hearts restored and set free from addiction, as well as to provide tens of thousands of jobs for them - and above all, to help them find freedom in Jesus.

Mike’s honesty, humility and willingness to share his struggle with candor and humor will inspire, challenge and motivate you. His success is undeniable, but Mike never fails to give credit where credit is due - and attributes all of his best ideas and successes to the Lord.

Endorsements

"Church People was a complete surprise for me. I had no expectations whatsoever, and I was totally shocked when I absolutely loved the movie. I was inspired. I laughed, and then I laughed some more. Thor Ramsey was phenomenal and his performance brought light to the dark times many of us have been going through. I can't recommend this movie more. As a matter of fact, if you're going, buy me a ticket and I will go see it again with you. Chuck and I have always believed that Christian film needs to elevate it's game. That it needs to be great. It needs to be fruit that if you lay it at the altar, God would be pleased. I believe that Church People has accomplished this. No higher compliment could I give this movie than to say for 90 minutes I was able to get away from the world, and was the better for it.

Christopher Shaw's directing work in Church People showed passion and love not only for the material but for the cause of Christ. As filmmakers, Chuck and I we're inspired by it.”
