NOTICES

A NOTE FROM MANAGEMENT Dear Residents, I hope that you are enjoying yourselves in our community. It’s been a great season! Several concerns about waste removal and recycling have come to my attention. We have changed pick up to 6 days a week (Monday through Saturday) for the 2 eight-yard overnight bins located off 5th street. Unfortunately our service provider cannot make pick ups on Sundays. Please plan accordingly. We are doing our best to remove overflow issues each Sunday, but it is very difficult to keep up with the demand. Please note these bins are specifically for use by Voyager Residents in RVs. There is a separate collection site at the maintenance yard for Voyager and Bay Residents in park models and homes. Since we do not currently have room on site for additional bins, it is important residents use the appropriate bins for their trash and recycling. The trash at the maintenance yard is removed 6 days a week, and the recycling is removed 3 days a week - Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. We are in the process of adding two more recycle bins at the maintenance yard. We do trash pick-up for park models and RV sites on Tuesday and Friday. This service is provided by our resort maintenance team that works hard to complete the task efficiently for you. In order to make this process seamless, we ask that you follow a few simple guidelines for the safety of our employees: • Please do not place sharp objects such as broken glass and needles in the trash. • Please ensure bags are heavy duty and tied to keep pests at bay. • Please ensure bags do not exceed 20 LBS and limit total garbage bags to 4 per site. • Please ensure bags are out by 8 am the mornings of pickup. We have 6 eight-yard trash and 3 ten-yard recyclers in the maintenance yard, along with several donation sites. Please follow the below guidelines when using the maintenance yard waste management area: • No construction materials - contractors working on your home need to take construction debris to the city dump. • No home furnishings (toilets, mattresses, couches, tables etc...) • No appliances (stoves, microwaves, water heaters etc...) • No electronics such as TVs, VCRs etc... We have 1 large roll-off available for yard waste (tree and bush trimmings, cacti etc...) Please do not dump yard waste on the ground. If it is too heavy for you to manage please hire someone who can. We also have 1 large ELS roll-off to be used only by ELS Resort employees. Please refrain from using this unit. We are working with our waste removal providers to find the best solutions for the park. Thank you for reaching out to me with your questions and concerns. Geoffrey Campbell, General Manager

FAITH, GIVING, AND THANKS

Voyager Chapel Pastor’s Corner It’s March … and Springtime is coming to the Sonoran Desert! In the Old Testament book of Ecclesiastes, King Solomon wrote: “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” I can’t help but think that Solomon must have had a special power of foresight to see the lifestyle of the 55+ community at Voyager. Reading through this edition of the Compass you can certainly find a time and place for every activity under the heavens. Voyager residents are energetic and active! Whatever you have on your calendar, I hope you’ll add attending the Voyager Community Chapel’s nondenominational services to your Sunday schedule. You are WELCOME each week at 9:30 am in the Ballroom. March is a five-Sunday month:  Our study Sunday the 1st will be, “You Do Not Want to Leave Too, Do You?” – John 6:60-71  Our study Sunday the 8th will be, “Why Are You Bothering This Woman?” – Matthew 26:6-13  Our study Sunday the 15th will be, “Do Not Be Anxious About Anything” – Philippians 4:4-7  Our study Sunday the 22nd will be, “With Thanksgiving, Present Your Request to God” – Philippians 4:4-7 (again)  On Sunday the 29th we will feature “The Ascension”, a Cantata performed by the Chapel Choir. This story of the Crucifixion and Resurrection of Jesus (as seen through the eyes of a Disciple named Thaddeus) was written by Voyager resident Richard Albrecht, with the instrumental and vocal scores composed by Voyager resident (and Chapel Choir Director) Ken Clinton. ALL VOYAGER RESIDENTS are invited to attend this premiere Voyager presentation … with a reception immediately following. Indeed, there is a time for every activity under the Heavens … See you in Chapel this Sunday! Pastor David Pace
