Konkani Manyata Day Celebrated by DIVO and

Mangaluru: 'DIVO' Konkani weekly ( a sister publication of The Secular Citi- zen), in association with Kavita Trust, Mangaluru celebrated 'Konkani Man- yata Day' and get-together of writers at Bishop Jattana Auditoriumm Man- galuru on Sunday, August 20, 2017.

In his address The Chief Guest Dr. Ronald Fernandes said its time that Konkani journalism should introduce more professionalism as we see it today based on amateur thinking. Moreover articles need to be more research oriented.

Earlier in the introductory speech DIVO editor Lawrence Coelho gave background on DIVO Konkani Weekly publication, its various programmes organised during 23 years period.

Founder president of Kavita Trust and poet Melvyn Rodrigues conducted recitation of Konkani Kavitas which is participated by poets, Wilson Ka- teel, Roshan Bajpe, Vincent Pinto Angelore, Naveen Kulshekar, Stany Bela, Felcy Lobo Derebail and Umer Bhatkal.

A large number of Konkani writers were present on this occasion.
