In addition EYELINE have supported the All Schools Championships by donating two prizes for the most outstanding Boy and Girl swimmer of the meet. Our sincere thanks to EYELINE for their continued support. NSW ALL SCHOOLS IS PROUDLY SUPPORTED BY EYELINE PLEASE NOTE – There will be limited Official presentations of medals at this year’s championships. Parents and coaches should feel free to photograph their swimmers at the presentation dais. The limited presentations are due to lack of time and also increased demands on the swimmers, we apologise for any inconvenience. MULTI-CLASS EVENTS Swimming combines the conditions of limb loss, cerebral palsy (coordination and movement restrictions), spinal cord injury (weakness or paralysis involving any combination of the limbs) and other Physical and Intellectual disabilities into a multi-disabled competition format. Within each classification, classes are allocated depending on the severity of the disability (the lower the number the more severe the disability). Classes 1-10 are allocated to swimmers with a Physical Disability. Classes 11-13 are allocated to swimmers with a Visual Disability. Class 14 is allocated to swimmers with an Intellectual Disability. Class 15 is allocated to swimmers with a Hearing Impairment. Class 16 is allocated to swimmers with an Organ or Bone Transplant. Each class is also allocated a prefix that denotes which stroke the individual is swimming. S denotes – Freestyle, Backstroke and Butterfly. SB denotes – Breaststroke. SM denotes – Individual Medley. Competitors compete in a Multi-Class format where each swimmer competes against a recognised Australian Standard Time for his or her disability classification and class. For this reason the swimmer who finishes first in the race may not be the actual winner, as individual times are compared and calculated against their relative Australian Standard Time. COMPETING ASSOCIATIONS Combined High Schools (CHS) Combined Catholic Colleges (CCC) Combined Independent Schools (CIS). The NSW All Schools Swimming Championships was first held in 1990. The idea to bring together the best swimmers from all NSW School Sporting Associations was that of Jan Smith, PDHPE & Sport Co-ordinator at SCECGS Redlands (now Redlands). As a result of the idea and work of Jan Smith, together with members of the Catholic Girls Secondary Schools Sports Association (CGSSSA), the success of the carnival in 1990 ensured its establishment as an annual event. • MEADOWBANK EDUCATION and EMPLOYMENT PRECINCT SCHOOLS PROJECT - STATE SIGNIFICANT DEVELOPMENT APPLICATION No: SSD-9343
RE: SUBMISSION - MEADOWBANK EDUCATION and EMPLOYMENT PRECINCT SCHOOLS PROJECT - STATE SIGNIFICANT DEVELOPMENT APPLICATION No: SSD-9343 Thank you for the opportunity to make a submission. I object to the planning application to relocate Marsden High School situated since 1959 (60 years) on an attractive spacious 5.4 hectare site with excellent transport links at 22a Winbourne St, West Ryde (close to Victoria Rd) to part (about 60%, that is approximately 1.98 hectares) of the 3.3 hectare site adjacent to the TAFE NSW Meadowbank Campus at 2 Rhodes St Meadowbank. The application aims to increase built capacity for high school students, ultimately catering for 1,500 students and a 120 place Intensive English Centre (IEC), that is, 1,620 students and provide high quality classrooms and collaborative learning spaces. There is a need for more classrooms for high school students, but the application seeks to crowd 1,620 students into a 1.98 hectare area which is only 36%, or about a third, of the existing Marsden High School site. This does not make sense planning or educational sense. I note that a primary school catering for 1,000 students will be sharing the proposed 3.3 hectare school site, that is, 2,620 school students overall. Adjoining the site is the approximately 6 hectare TAFE campus which will cater for 13,000 to 14,000 students and is subject to a separate State Significant Development Application. In contrast, nearby Epping Boys High School enjoys a 9.15 hectare school site. Essentially I consider the planning for the high school as outlined in the application documents to be flawed as it lacks a holistic approach, lacks context, has a narrow, focus and contains some factual errors.

Here are our achievements in 2018: Services provided for teachers: CLTANSW increased the number of NESA accredited courses for teachers • In order to help our teachers understand and gain a general overview of the new Chinese K-10 syllabus, two familiarisation workshops were run in May and July with 185 participants • About 60 teachers voluntarily participated in sample program writing projects across NSW.
