‘SOUND OF CHRISTMAS’ Cast Bios LINDY BOOTH (Lizzie Moore) – Lindy Booth has been building her reputation as a versatile and capable actress by choosing roles that she feels passionately about. On the small screen, Booth stars alongside Noah Wyle in the upcoming television series “The Librarians” for TNT based on the series of television movies. On the big screen, Booth starred in the action film based on a superhero comic book series, “Kick Ass 2” alongside Chloe Grace Moretz, Jim Carrey, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson. Booth is also known for her roles as Riley Grant on the Disney Channel series “The Famous Jett Jackson”; Agent Hawk in the show-within-a-show, “Silverstone”; and Claudia on the adventurous TV series, “Relic Hunter”. In 2011 alone, Booth starred in two small screen movies, “Christmas Magic” and “Brain Trust”, and appeared on TV series “Fairly Legal” and “Republic of Doyle”. Additionally, Booth portrayed Lana Turner in the 2001 ABC made for TV movie “Life with Judy Garland: Me and My Shadows”. In 2009, Booth held a recurring role as A.J Butterfield in NBC’s “The Philanthropist”, an action drama series following a billionaire playboy who is haunted by the death of his only child, and uses his fortune to change the lives of others. Other TV appearances include the CBS series “NCIS”, “Cold Case”, “CSI:NY”, “Ghost Whisperer”, and “The Twilight Zone”; drama sci-fi series “Warehouse 13”; ABC series “October Road”; “Starhunter” and “Mutant X” and the USA Network series, “The 4400”. Booth starred as Dodger Allen in the 2005 horror movie “Cry Wolf”, as Nicole in the 2004 remake of “Dawn of the Dead” and alongside Eliza Dushku in the 2003 thriller “Wrong Turn”. Booth was born in Canada and currently resides in Los Angeles, California. ROBIN DUNNER (Brad Owen) – Robin Dunne is best known for his role as Will Zimmerman in 4 seasons of the Syfy series Sanctuary, opposite Amanda Tapping. Other television credits include leading and guest starring roles in shows such as Defiance for Syfy, CSI Miami for CBS, Code Breakers for ESPN and Dawson’s Creek for WB. Feature credits include Just Friends with Ryan Reynolds, Amy Smart and Anna Farris, Cruel Intentions 2, Scarecrow and Jack & Jill vs. The World. He also stars in the indie feature Torment opposite Katharine Isabelle. A native to Toronto, Canada, Dunne immersed himself in the acting scene early on attending Etobicoke School of the Arts, a performing arts high school. He got his first major television role playing the troubled son of Judith Light in Against Their Will: Women in Prison. When police become ICE agents, immigrant victims and witnesses of crime are afraid to call police, which makes us all less safe. Ø Prohibits use of local funds for collaboration agreements with federal agents The bylaw prohibits collaboration agreements between the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and local law enforcement that deputize local officers as immigration agents, like those in place in Bristol and Plymouth Counties. The bylaw will ensure that our tax dollars are spent on making our community safe, not on expanding the deportation machine. Ø Protects our town from potential lawsuits The bylaw clearly states that the Town of Amherst will not comply with ICE detainer requests or holds. These requests are not warrants and are not reviewed by a court or judicial officer.

This vast marine park, the largest no-fishing zone in the Eastern Tropical Pacific, provides a critical habitat for internationally threatened marine species, and is a major source of nutrients resulting in large aggregations of marine biodiversity. It is in particular a ‘reservoir' for sharks, giant grouper and billfish and is one of the few places in the world where sightings of the short-nosed ragged-toothed shark, a deepwater shark, have been confirmed. If there is a news story about a child in trouble or a law about to change that will impact children in any way, Marla is the first to share that with me. She hurts openly for children without mothers. The lives of children fill Marla in an almost sacred way. Grace is the second of three young sisters who visit Sanctuary with their parents. Her older sister can carry on a conversation and her baby sister was recently born. So Grace (as many middle children find) has a tougher time holding the attention of an adult right now. She works at it every week for a while. And finally finds her body fading towards sleep. Marla and Grace found each other in that moment. One so full of love for children. The other in need of loving caring arms. And the gift that they gave each other was peace - shalom - that feeling that it might be alright in the world after all. DOI: 10.5294/pacla.2017.20.3.7 Abstract Telefantasy series Torchwood (2006–2011, multiple production partners) was industrially and paratextually positioned as being Welsh, despite its frequent status as an international co-production. When, for series 4 (sub- titled Miracle Day, much as the miniseries produced as series 3 was subti- tled Children of Earth), the production (and diegesis) moved primarily to the United States as a co-production between BBC Worldwide and Amer- ican premium cable broadcaster Starz, fan response was negative from the announcement, with the series being termed Americanised in popular and academic discourse. This study, drawn from my doctoral research, which interrogates all of these assumptions via textual, industrial/contextual and audience analysis focusing upon ideological, aesthetic and interpretations of national identity representation, focuses upon the interactions between fan cultural capital and national cultural capital and how those interactions impact others of the myriad of reasons why the (re)glocalisation failed. It finds that, in part due to the competing public service and commercial ide- ologies of the BBC, Torchwood was a glocalised text from the beginning, de- spite its positioning as Welsh, which then became glocalised again in series 4.
