PRESS INFORMATION Team All German Motorsports triumphs at Las Vegas • Second win of the season for AGM-Duo Schwarz/Christensen • RTL TV Anchor Nazan Eckes at the wheel of 600+hp Buggy • Kremer/Pfankuch without luck after strong performance 09.09.2008. Viva Las Vegas! The American-German squad of All German Motorsports made headlines at Las Vegas, where normally only the great names of international show biz are in the limelight. At the SCORE Terrible PRIMM 300, the fourth out of five rounds of the world’s toughest off-road racing series, All German Motorsports celebrated an immaculate flag-to-flag win in Class 1 for Unlimited Buggys. With 24 race cars, Class 1 was the strongest contingent in a field of 142 competitors. German rally ace, Armin Schwarz and his Californian driver colleague Martin Christensen rounded out their triumph with a podium finish in the overall classification. Despite two flat tyres the German/American duo piloted their 640hp Buggy to third overall amongst the 200hp more powerful Trophy Trucks. Roger Norman/Larry Roeseler secured the overall win ahead of Brian Collins/Chuck Hovey in second. “A perfect weekend,” beamed Armin Schwarz. ”Once again our AGM team did a perfect job. Our car only gave us minor problems. We narrowly missed out on a truly huge sensation.” A delighted Martin Christensen jokes: “But we thought we’d better save the overall win for the season highlight, the BAJA 1000 in November,“ and adds, “Our strategy worked perfectly. On the brutal tracks Armin managed to pull away from the rest of the field during his two lap stint over 144 miles. Then I took the wheel and it was my job to bring the slightly battered car home in one piece over the last two 72 mile laps. Our navigator Bryan Lyttle did a fantastic job, and he managed to change a wheel in the open desert in the record time of 1.05 minutes. Moreover, the team communication worked perfectly – we always knew where we were compared to the competitors. Shame we had two punctures and some problems with the shocks, which forced us to reduce our speed. That robbed us of our chance to fight for the overall victory. But we clearly dominated the Unlimited Buggys.“ Only 86 of 142 starters made it to the finish. German Armin Kremer and his driver colleague Adam Pfankuch tackled the SCORE Terrible PRIMM 300 in the second AGM Buggy. Dust, extreme heat and potholes, big enough to hide a compact car, put man and machine through extreme tests. All German Motorsports was up to the challenge. Right from the start Armin Kremer went flat out. Being the 39th car on the route Kremer chased up through the field despite dense dust. At half distance Adam Pfankuch took over the AGM Buggy in 12th overall and fifth in class. Pfankuch put in a brilliant performance and had a podium result in sight when the transmission failed 50 miles (ca 85km) from the finish. ”Shit happens,“ said a philosophical Armin Kremer. “It could have happened to anybody. Most important is that we showed both AGM cars have got the winning speed. Those races are a real team sport. So our joy about Armin’s and Martin’s win is much more than our disappointment with our bad luck. Who knows, maybe the next time we will be lucky and climb the top of the podium in the end.“ For the race just outside the city limits of the gamblers’ paradise Las Vegas, Europe’s biggest TV station RTL TV had sent Nazan Eckes to support AGM and their German drivers. Nazan, who presents numerous shows as well as Formula 1 for the Germany based TV station, even entered the cockpit of the 600+hp AGM Buggy. “That was great,“ raved Armin Schwarz about his guest. “Nazan looked fantastic behind the wheel. Strange, we’ve never had so many competitors visiting our team. Normally they are busy trying to keep us behind their cars – which is turning out to be increasingly difficult.“ RTL TV will broadcast Nazan Eckes’s off-road experience within the coverage of the Formula 1 Grand Prix of Italy on 13 September from 15.25 hrs (CEST).
