It is an honor and a privilege to work with so many highly talented musicians. Juanis Cover lettering Mike Dolgushkin © 2021 Music has always been my passion. As a young guy I remember riding the #37 bus downtown to stop at the record store to pick up the latest albums. From my hometown of Baltimore I listened to WCAO radio Top 40 hits, and watched The Buddy Deane Dance Party every day after school. My early musical heroes were Dion, Paul Anka, Neil Sedaka, Little Eva, Ray Charles, Chubby Checker, Gene Pitney, Roy Orbison, The Four Tops and, Stevie Wonder…. My parents were also music fans. Here are few photos from back in their day…. Debbie Reynolds ? Dr. Carlin, the music teacher, came into our classroom. He told us that next year, in 5th grade, we could be in the school orchestra.

Now in their tenth year, PMO finally gained well-overdue recognition in 2014, when their crowd-funded, self-titled, debut album took home the GRAMMY for Best Tropical Latin Album. No newcomer to the big band circuit, they have performed at the Monterey Jazz Festival, the Montreux Jazz Festival, Stern Grove Jazz Jazz Festival, The Aspen Jazz Fest, and many more. They are a popular orchestra that recently sold out their run at Yoshi’s Jazz Club in Oakland, California. The 20-piece orchestra is comprised of the Bay Area’s top talent featured with iconic names like Poncho Sanchez, Pete Escovedo, Carlos Santana, Herbie Hancock or Prince. 2014 GRAMMY® Winner the Pacific Mambo Orchestra (a.k.a. the PMO) is a 20 piece, San Francisco based musical group leading the rebirth of the Latin Big band Sound. The PMO uses the traditions of the classic mambo-craze orchestras of the 1950s to deliver their original music and clever, modern arrangements of hit songs. Currently, the only fully active Latin Big Band on the West Coast of the United States, this elite group of the Bay Area's finest musicians performs in both English and Spanish (French and Portuguese selections are also available).

Instrumental jams like “Jingo”, Soul Sacrifice” and “Samba Pa Ti” expanded their musical style and development. One observer referred to Santana as a rock version of Dizzy Gillespie’s Latin-oriented bands and ensembles. In the early 70’s jazz, blues and rock tenuously combined to form a genre named Fusion. Each artist in this discipline distilled a unique Site Search instrumental approach. These bands included Weather Report, The Mahavishnu Orchestra and Return To Forever.
