Vacuum packaging is a method of packaging that removes air from the package prior to sealing. It can involve both rigid and flexible types of packaging. The intent is usually to remove oxygen from the container to extend the shelf life of foods and, with flexible package forms, to reduce the volume of the contents and package. Vacuum packing reduces atmospheric oxygen, limiting the growth of aerobic bacteria or fungi, and preventing the evaporation of volatile components. It is also commonly used to store dry foods over a long period of time, such as cereals, nuts, cured meats, cheese, smoked fish, coffee, and potato chips (crisps). On a more short term basis, vacuum packing can also be used to store fresh foods, such as vegetables, meats, and liquids, because they inhibit bacterial growth. Vacuum packing greatly reduces the bulk of non-food items. For example, clothing and bedding can be stored in bags evacuated with a domestic vacuum cleaner or a dedicated vacuum sealer. This tech- nique is sometimes used to compact household waste, for example where a charge is made for each full bag collected. Vacuum packaging products using plastic bags, canisters, bottles, or mason jars are available for home use. Vacuum packaging delicate food items can be done by using an inert gas, such as nitrogen. DaVinci-T thermoforming systems
Vacuum Packaging can be done with thermoforming machines. Our DaVinci-T are Form-Fill-Seal style machines that form the pack- age from rolls of packaging film (webbing). Products are loaded into the thermoformed pockets; the top web is laid and sealed un- der a vacuum, producing vacuum packaged products. Thermoforming can greatly increase packaging production speed. Thermo- formed plastics can be customized for size, color, clarity, and shape to fit products perfectly, creating a consistent appearance. DaVinci-C-152A capping machine is designed for handling plastic screw cap, snap hinge cap, click-loc cap and flex band cap for round/flat/ oval/ square shape con- tainers. Dynaclear Packaging/Pro Pack Group suppliers warrant their products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship, when used under recommended operating conditions, for a period of one year from the date of original shipment.
If you discover a defect during the warranty period, please notify the distributor from whom you purchased this product, who will arrange for the replacement parts to be sent to you. Parts must be returned to DP/PPG to determine if defective for credit on replacement. Shipping and labor costs are not included in this warranty. If the defect is not field-repairable and if you return it to DP/PPG during the warranty period, the ma- chine’s manufacturer will, at its sole option, repair or replace this product, at no charge to you other than shipping charges to and from the facil- ity in Wyckoff, NJ.
If you return this product to DP/PPG for warranty repair or replacement, please attach to the returned product your name and your company's name, address, telephone number and fax number; a description of the problem; and a copy of the bill of sale or invoice that shows the appro- priate serial number for the product. All returns must be accompanied by an authorized DP/PPG Returned Goods Authorization (RGA) number. An authorized RGA number can be obtained from the DP/PPG distributor from whom you purchased this product.
