The Beat Goes On is an international award-winning all-adult marching band committed to delighting Northwest and National audiences while reliving the best parts of the marching band experiences we fondly remember and creating indelible memories. Not many groups have performed in the Netherlands at a 25 mile floral and 18th century castle, alongside Plymouth Rock and the Mayflower, on the floor of the Oregon House of Representatives, aboard a Caribbean cruise ship, atop the Great Wall of China, and down the street in Multnomah Village!

Founded in October 2011, the band is renowned for its upbeat attitude, feel-good Shanghai Tourism Festival, 2014 musical selections, and emphasis on audience interaction. Though its musical tastes are eclectic, TBGO features a high-energy, brassy, rock and roll style – we may be a marching band, but we're more likely to play Bruno Mars than John Philip Sousa! Our current show is still heavily rooted in rock and roll favorites, but we also play patriotic tunes, funk, jazz, soul, a polka or two, and yep, even a couple of marches.

The band (which includes a dance team, color guard, and a twirling squad) is open to anyone 18 years or older. Band members hail primarily from the Pacific Northwest but come from as far away as Ohio, Texas, Arizona, and

St. Patrick’s Day, Savannah, GA 2017 California for special events.

The band is known for spontaneity on the parade route (heck, even we don’t always know what’s going to happen!) and its ability to engage and interact with crowds. We love to entertain audiences and it shows! TBGO’s feel-good style carries over into stage shows that feature high energy, low (but G-rated!) humor, audience sing- alongs, and tunes that show off more of our musical range. The band’s wide range of musical genres has a proven appeal to everyone from grandparents to teens, and we’re proudest when we encourage

young to stay musically active throughout A Little Extra Help for Our Twirlers their lives or entice former players back to the fold.

Drums Keep Pounding Rhythm to the Brain As you can tell we have a passion for what we do, and we’d love to share the zaniness with you – “We have to get older … but we can be immature forever!” If we can provide further information

Another great day for a parade! about the band or any other assistance, please let us know; we want to bring “More Smiles Per Mile” to your event. Till then: Whenever you hear a brassy band rockin’ out with a BIG sound, irrepressible enthusiasm, and maybe just a LITTLE too much fun, remember …
