Cynthia Soto State Representative Dear Colleague: Caucus Co-Chair The Illinois Legislative Latino Caucus (Latino Caucus) cordially invites you to a breakfast briefing entitled, “The Growing Latino Presence in Illinois: How It Impacts State Representative You and Your District” on Wednesday, May 1 from 8-9:30 a.m. in room A-1, first Caucus Vice-Chair floor Stratton building.

Maria Antonia Berrios State Representative The breakfast briefing will feature short presentations by the Latino Policy Forum, the Caucus Treasurer Illinois Latino Family Commission, and the Illinois Association of Hispanic State Employees on issues that are salient to Latino children, families, and workers Silvana Tabares throughout the state. Afterwards, there will be an opportunity for Members to ask State Representative questions and speak freely about the local dynamics they are encountering back home. Caucus Secretary

As a result of Latino population growth, there are now 53 districts (House and Senate William Delgado State Senator combined) where Latinos account for 15% or more of the district’s population. The Latino Caucus hopes that this briefing will serve as the starting point for more Antonio Muñoz intentional outreach, collaboration, and support between Latino-elected officials and State Senator those serving districts with a large Latino constituency.
