2012 and beyond…. “The Spartan Way” Words from the Coach…

It is with great pride that I take on another season as head coach for SHS Baseball. I came here in 2003, with a strong vision for baseball at this school. Through the hard work of many alumni… many successes have been since realize. However, there is so much more to do! On behalf of the coaching staff, I can tell you how excited we are to move forward with this group of young Spartan men… working together toward a greater goal. This program is founded on hard work, sacrifice for others and relationships that go beyond our field. It is our hope that the experience will be looked back on with great pride… as we know that NO ACCOMPLISHMENT we’ve ever been proud of has without challenges and perseverance. We will teach discipline… at the plate, on the mound, on the field… but in your actions as well. We will stress to allow individual accolades and goals to happen, within a TEAM FIRST concept. If we do those things, the success of the season will ultimately be guaranteed…. AGAIN… as we use baseball as the vehicle to teach these young men skills for life. GO SPARTS.
