Ragged peaks tower next to lovely, forest covered hills, both hiding away idyllic mountain lakes. Stop and look around–take in breathtaking scenery and unspoiled nature. Our trekking route crosses the Austrian from West to East. Ten more or less famous lakes such as lake Wolfgangsee, ,Irrsee and Fuschlsee are part of this amazing tour. Stop at some of the best known highlights of the region: in St. Wolfgang, the Imperial summer residence in and the most beautiful place on a lake are unforgettable highlights during your hike. A special excursion dips into the lovely Ausseerland, a gem of the Salzkammergut where time seems to pass slower than everywhere else.

You mainly walk along lakes and across alpine pastures. Several low summits offer scenic views and therefore you should be surefooted. A good fitness level for ascents and longer walking stages up to 6 hours are required.
