I’m really, really proud of it.” — Ashley Greene on Bombshell Fans of IMTA alum Ashley Greene get a double-dose of her talent this week in two completely different roles. Joining the lineup of Hallmark Channel’s Christmas movies is Christmas on My Mind, in which Greene stars as Lucy alongside Andrew Walker as her ex-boyfriend Zac, and Jackée Harry as Dr. Caroline Albright. When Lucy wakes up with a wedding dress in hand, she believes that she is late to her wedding with her ex-boyfriend Zac. However, she has no recollection of the past 2 years, including the fact that she is engaged to another man. With Zac’s help, Lucy sets off on an adventure in Bedford Harbor to fill the gaps in her memory, and finds old romantic feelings reigniting during the Christmas season. Greene also takes on the role of former personality Abby Huntsman in the feature film Bombshell, which deals with the real-life harrowing experiences of women at Fox News and their harassment by CEO Roger Ailes. John Lithgow takes on the role of Ailes with Nicole Kidman as Gretchen Carlson, Margot Robbie as producer Kayla Pospisil, and Charlize Theron as Megyn Kelly. Allison Janney plays trailblazing feminist lawyer , with Kate McKinnon, Mark Duplass and Alice Eve also featured. Elisabeth Rohm and Spencer Garrett appear as Fox News hosts Martha MacCallum and , and Alanna Ubach plays Fox News host . “It was just like what you would imagine stepping onto that set. It was like I’d never been on a set before,” Greene said in an interview with HollywoodLife. “I walked on and was just like, ‘Wow, this is incredible.’ It was incredible to be surrounded by such strong, powerful women delivering such a strong, powerful message.” Over the last year, Greene has been steadily working on several projects. She recently completed filming a role in Blackjack: The Jacky Ryan Story, an independent feature based on a true story about the Brooklyn-native street basketball legend Jackie Ryan. Greg Finley, Brandon Thomas Lee and David Arquette also star. No release date has been announced. Greene also recently completed voicing the character of Rachel in another independent feature, Max & Me. The animated movie tells the true story of Polish priest Maximilian Kolbe and the incredible challenges he faced during the Nazi invasion of Poland during World War II. For his role in protecting Jews from Nazi persecution, Kolbe was sent to the Auschwitz death camp where he volunteered to die in place of a stranger. The story unfolds through a present-day encounter of an older man and a rebellious teenager, using the story of Father Max to teach lessons of love and sacrifice. Hector Elizondo, Piotr Adamcyzk and David Henrie also voice characters in the film, which does not yet have a theatrical release date. Greene is currently filming the thriller Aftermath with Shawn Ashmore. No plot has been announced for the film, which is scheduled to be released in 2020. – IMTA –
