Provisional Breeds: Portuguese Podengo (Medio/Grande) & Portuguese Podengo Pequeno. NOTRA: Afghan Hounds, Basenji, Borzoi, Cirneco dell’Etna, Greyhounds, Ibizan Hounds, Irish Wolfhounds, Italian Greyhounds, Magyar Agar, Pharaoh Hounds, Portuguese Podengo (Medio/Grande), Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Salukis, Scottish Deerhounds, Silken Windhounds and Sloughi. LGRA Race Meet: Race meet will be 3 programs, 4-dog races, 200-yard drag lure. All breeds will start from the box, except for Borzoi, Scottish Deerhounds, and Irish Wolfhounds, which will be hand slipped. ***Any dogs that DNF (unless there is interference) or has an OC during the race meet will be scratched from other heats. NOTRA Race Meet: Race meet will be 3 programs, 4-dog races, 350-yard modified-uval, drag lure. All breeds will start from the box, except Borzoi, Scottish Deerhounds, and Irish Wolfhounds, which will be hand slipped. ***Any dogs that DNF (unless there is interference) or has an OC during the race meet will be scratched from other heats. Box dimensions: Depth 46", Width: 12", Height: 35" Eligibility to compete: All hounds must be 1 year of age, or older, on the day of the race meet, and must be neither lame, sick, nor in season. Each hound must be individually registered with the American Kennel Club (AKC), Canadian Kennel Club (CKC), United Kennel Club (UKC), or with the National Greyhound Association (NGA). Hounds registered with the AKC under Purebred Alternative Listing (PAL) or Indefinite Listing Privilege (ILP) or the CKC equivalent may also be entered. First Time Entry (FTE) Dogs: Any FTE dog as well as any dog that has ONLY incomplete meets (not including scratches) for the last 3 races on its record in LGRA and/or NOTRA will be required to have a certification run prior to the Nationals. Proof of certification shall include: The name and signature of the Race Secretary who qualified the dog. The name of the club that the Race Secretary represents. The date of certification. A statement that the dog came out of the racing box and ran the entire track cleanly with another dog of the same breed or one with a similar racing style. Any dog that has successfully competed and completed a race meet in NOTRA will not need a certification for LGRA. Any dog that has successfully competed and completed a race meet in LGRA will need a certification for NOTRA. Lure coursing titles will NOT serve for certification in LGRA or NOTRA. Proof of certification can be submitted with entry forms or at roll call. ***No refunds will be issued for not meeting certification requirements. ***LARK is having a LGRA/NOTRA meet on 8/18/18 & 8/19/18 at the same field as nationals and will be happy to do certifications and box training at that time. LARK will NOT be offering box training or certification runs at the nationals. Entries: There are no entries allowed on the day of the meet. All entries must be received by midnight EST on Wednesday, September 5th, 2018. All entry fees MUST be received with the completed entry form and worksheet. Please mail the LGRA entry form, NOTRA entry form, Expense worksheet, Camping form, Volunteer sheet, Spirit Racer form, and all applicable fees to: Terrianne Basch 4636 Fenn Rd. Entry Fees: Entry fee is $25 for first dog each day and $20 for each additional dog. If your dog is entering either event as a First Time Entry (FTE), there is an additional $2 registration fee per sport that must be remitted with your entry. You will see a place to remit that fee on the entry worksheet. You must fill out a request for a LGRA/NOTRA number form (these forms are attached at the bottom of this premium) along with a copy of your dog’s registration certificate. If at roll call, your dog is lame or in season, your entry fees will be refunded. ***If you pull your dog before the event, a note from your veterinarian is required for a refund. Roll Call and Inspection: 7:30 am SHARP each day. Racers not present at roll call will be marked absent and are not eligible for refund. Racers will be inspected for lameness, sickness, being in season, and correct fit of racing muzzle. Please bring your muzzles to roll call. Legends: We are going to have a special LEGENDS section in our catalog. We are offering a full-page ad at 50% off the cost of a full-page ad in our catalog for Legends. ($10 per ad) Eligibility: • Your hound may not be entered in the regular meet • Must be 7 years of age or older • Must have earned at least a GRC title in LGRA or an ORC title in NOTRA. Veterans: A prize will be awarded to the high-scoring veteran in each breed. Eligibility: • Your hound MUST complete all 3 programs • Must be 7 years of age or older on the day of the meet “Spirit Racers” Memorial Race The first race on Saturday will be a “Spirit Race”. The name of each dog being memorialized will be, in some fashion, “raced” down the track. This will be announced so that everyone may pay tribute. Eligibility: Any sighthound that competed in LGRA or NOTRA (whether owner is present, or not) that has gone to the Rainbow Bridge. Volunteers: As always, race meets can’t be run without great volunteers. LGRA and NOTRA are owner participation sports and we need everyone to help! There will be sign-up sheets on a board at the race secretary area. Work schedules will be arranged to allow you time to run and care for your own dogs. Pre-orders close on September 5th. 2018 at Midnight EST. Friday private photo sessions are available and have no sitting fee if a pre-order race photo package is purchased, otherwise there is a $25 sitting fee that can applied to photo packages. There is a place on the expense form to include a donation amount with your entry. Auction Items/Gift Baskets: Items will be auctioned off during the Awards Dinner on Saturday, September 29th. Items for auction will be accepted through the start of the awards dinner. Gift Baskets will be raffled off at different times during the weekend. Raffle tickets will be sold on site for $1/each, $5/6, $10/15, $20/30. Winners or designated prize acceptor/transporter must be present at the basket drawing or auction. No baskets or auction items will be shipped. Vendor information: Vendors must reserve a space with Terrianne Basch prior to the nationals.
