12pm EMILY’S LIST: WHY WE FIGHT: THE IMPORTANCE OF WOMEN IN PARLIAMENT

Join Queensland Minister for Women and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic and Family Violence Di Farmer MP and first term MP Member for Gaven as we discuss and reflect on the importance of women in politics and why it matters.

It’s been about nine months since the Palaszczuk Labor Government’s passed its historic abortion law reforms through the Queensland Parliament, finally giving Queensland women autonomy and respect they deserve to access the health care they need. These reforms are having a far reaching affect on the health and wellbeing of women across our State, but our fight continues.

Queensland’s antiquated laws around consent are devastating women as they pursue justice in cases of rape and sexual assault.
