High precision positioning is achieved by combining GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite Systems) such as GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou, with RTK (Realtime Kinematic) technology. RTK is a technique that measures the receiver from the phase of the carrier wave of the signal. These measurements are done with the corrections of a local or virtual "Base station", and enable the receiver to solve carrier ambiguities, and to the moving terminal, the so called "Rover", to provide centimeter accurate positioning information.
