Outdoor activities include cycling/walking trail, golf, horse-riding, sailing, swimming, canoeing and nature trails. Description The property, originally a farmhouse, was first built in the 18th century. Set in 1.75 acres of land including large garden/orchard to relax in. On the south side there are views to the Montagne Noire behind which are the Pyrenees; to the westside are open views over the orchard towards Lautrec village. If you like bird watching this is the place to stay. To the east is our vegetable field with more fruit trees! Gite Martinet (4 stars) sleeps two and is luxurious and spacious. Its open plan with large kitchen / living area with fridge freezer and dishwasher, mezzanine level bedroom with king size bed and en-suite shower room. There is an additional sitting room for you to read and relax in. For winter lets the woodburning stove will keep you warm and cosy. The perfect location for lovers of the countryside. A short stroll down the drive leads to circular walks and a cycling trail is closeby linking, Castres and Albi. The nearby medieval bastide village of Lautrec has restaurants, cafes, bars, bank and shops. It has an Aquaval outdoor swimming pool, great day out for families. Regular summer events and free live entertainment in Lautrec and nearby towns. Just a short drive away are Castres and Realmont and market days, on Saturday and Wednesday. Gaillac is the home of the local wine. In August you can blend music with wine tasting at Gaillac's festivals. Albi (30kms) the capital city of the Tarn region is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its also home to the world famous Toulouse-Lautrec Museum, housing a major collection of the artist's work. Treat yourself to an aromatherapy or hot stone massage with the owner, Sheda Savage. The balance of the cost is payable 8 weeks prior to the start of your holiday, with a damage deposit payment of €200, on arrival which will be returned to you before you leave after checking the gite. Payment in full is required for bookings accepted within 8 weeks of the start of the holiday. Please make euro cheques payable to Mr T. M. Savage or by bank transfer. The gite must be left in a clean and tidy condition - as you found it on arrival. If you wish us to clean it for you an additional cost will be levied. No smoking is permitted inside the Gites. Breakages A 150€ damage deposit is required on arrival. Any breakages will be deducted from this amount at cost. Cleaning You are required to leave the property in a clean and tidy condition; if not it will result in a cleaning charge of €60.00 minimum (two hours), and an additional €30 per hour (or part thereof) depending upon how long it takes the cleaners to finish. The maximum has been four hours. The amount will be deducted from your returnable deposit. Insurance You are strongly advised to take out appropriate holiday insurance to cover cancellation, medical costs, etc. Booking Confirmation To reserve your booking you must sign and return the booking form with your payment of the initial 25% non- refundable deposit. By signing the booking form this indicates you agree to the Booking Conditions. We will send a confirmation of your booking by post or email on receipt of deposit and booking form. This formally accepts your booking. Final Payment of Holiday Booking The balance of payment for the booking is required no less than 8 weeks prior to your holiday date. If the final payment is not received by the due date, we reserve the right to give notice in writing by post or email to cancel your holiday booking. Reservations made within 8 weeks of the start of your holiday date will be required to be paid in full at the time of booking.
