It contains standard five ingredients (Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Folic Acid, Iron & Zinc) recommended by World Health Organization (WHO). MoniMix has simplified the intake of every day iron by offering a very easy method of home fortification of children’s food. Campaign objective To increase awareness about anemia and the brand To remind the consumers about the brand & strengthen the brand`s position To popularize the brand as a trusted one amongst the target group To create new customer & boost up sales Brand positioning MoniMix is an iron-rich home fortification micronutrient supplement for 6-59 months children’s for all socio-economic segments that helps improve children physical and mental development properly because it contains essential iron, vitamins and minerals which prevents Iron Deficiency Anemia. Brand slogan: Target group Primary audience:Mothers, grandmothers and fathers of children under 5 years from all socio-econimiceconomic segments, mostly living in semi-urban and rural areas. Evaluation criteria a) Total number of peakspots (see section 5) b) Program Mix (see section 2) c) Budget allocation(see section 4) 7. Penalty Penalty may be imposed (5%-10%) based on the volume of the unaccomplished task. However, penalty may be waived on the genuine ground. 8. Awarding the Task SMC may offer the Task Order partially (TVC or pop-up) or in full (TVC and pop-up) to the selected agency based on the evaluation criteria (section 6). Page 2 of 4 All received proposals will be reviewed and evaluated by a committee against the parameters stated above. SMC reserves the right to accept or reject the entire or any part of the proposals with or without showing any reason. 9. Other instructions a) A format of media proposal summary has been attached. Agencies should summarize their proposal in this format. b) Bonus spots highly preferred c) The agency need to propose the maximum number of spots in the above mentioned programs within the stipulated budget to ensure the highest reach and frequency at the lowest cost to achieve an efficient cost per exposure. d) Any kind of incomplete as well as incorrect proposal will be rejected 10. Proposal submission Last date of submission April 25, 2021. 11. Proposal Submission Requirements Selection of the agency will be through a competitive bidding process. The deadline for submission of proposals will be 12.00 p.m. on April 25, 2021.In fairness to all bidders, no extensions will be granted under any circumstances.     Morning Newsflash Monday, May 20, 2019 Economy Household consumption of staples falling: BBS The consumption of major staples at the household level is falling rapidly in the country, which is happening as people spend on foods outside homes. This was revealed in the final version of the Household Income and Expenditure Survey (HIES) report, released last week. The HIES report shows that rice consumption fell to 367.2 gramme per person a day in 2016, down by 49 gramme from 2010. The wheat consumption dropped to 19.8 gramme per person daily, down by 6.0 gramme from 2010. Usually, both food grains are considered substitute goods and the fall in one category means the rise in the other staples and vice versa. Officials of the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS), who tracked the development, said that it happened due to the rise in consumption of fast food outside homes. They said rapid urbanisation has caused a change in eating habits. Dr Dipankar Roy, project director at the HIES, told the FE this is a global phenomenon. "It is a new challenge not just for us, but for many countries as a result of rapid urbanisation," Dr Roy said.     Society & Change Vol. XII, No.2, April-June 2018 ISSN: 1997-1052 (Print), 227-202X (Online) Television Viewing Patterns and Program Choices of Rural and Urban Audiences Mohammad Morshedul Islam* Abstract Socio-economic differences of the rural and urban TV viewers may result in varied viewing patterns and program choices. This article aims at comparing the TV viewing habits across the rural-urban dichotomies which drew little attention from the researchers studying TV audience in Bangladesh. An exploratory and descriptive sample survey was designed with purposive sampling. Data was collected from 110 rural (Female 75, Male 35) and 149 urban (Female 78, Male 71) respondents with a semi- structured questionnaire. Rural respondents were selected from villages of five Upazila under Chittagong district and urban respondents from Chittagong City Corporation. It has been observed that daily average TV viewing time of a rural viewer is 24 minutes more, Bangladeshi channels 18 minutes more and Indian channels 7 minutes more than his urban counterpart. Prime time also differs across the dichotomies. Much more viewers that are rural watch soaps, dramas, telefilms and religious programs than urban viewers. Much more rural viewers prefer to watch programs in Bengali language. Conversely, number of urban respondents watching programs in Hindi and English Languages are much higher. Findings of this study will be helpful to the decision makers in TV channels, academia, government and non-government organizations concerned with TV and its audiences.     MOHAMMAD MORSHEDUL ISLAM MOHAMMAD ALI ASGAR CHOWDHURY SHARIFUL ISLAM Television Viewing Patterns of Bangladeshi Audience: A Study of Indian and Bangladeshi Soap Operas Television Viewing Patterns of Bangladeshi Audience: A Study of Indian and Bangladeshi Soap Operas MOHAMMAD MORSHEDUL ISLAM MOHAMMAD ALI ASGAR CHOWDHURY SHARIFUL ISLAM Abstract Studies conducted to examine the television viewing habits clearly identified the immense popularity of Indian soaps in Bangladesh especially among women. Moreover, popularity of Indian soaps is a much talked about and debated issue among various stake holders. Still, this important area attracted less attention of empirical inquiry from the scholars studying media audiences in Bangladesh. The aim of this study is to identify the viewing patterns of Bangladeshi and Indian soaps and attraction towards the genre among both rural-urban and female-male audiences of Chittagong. Findings of a sample survey of 259 respondents (153 female, 106 male; 149 urban, 110 rural) from Chittagong district show that 81% of the female respondents watch soaps. More than three quarter (76%) of the male respondents opine that female members of their families are attracted to Indian soaps. Female respondents’ daily average soap viewing time is 149 minutes and 62 minutes for all other programs. More than two-thirds (67.6%) of the female viewers watch Indian soaps regularly but only 15.6% for Bangladeshi soaps.
