Remy Gardner Back on Track for the CEV Buckler

The fourteen year old son of World 500cc Champion will be back on track for round four of the CEV Buckler, thanks to the support of Moriwaki Engineering and . Remy missed the last round of the championship due to funding issues arising from the financial difficulties of one of their partners, however he’s now more than ready to get back to the business of Racing.

“I can’t believe Moriwaki and Honda have made it possible for me to go racing again,” said an elated Remy. “It was so hard watching the last race on television, but I can’t wait to get back out there again and learn as much as I can for the rest of this year. I’m really really grateful for their support and all our other sponsors and partners. I’m so happy and proud that they all believe in me, and I’ll always do my best for them,” he added.

The partnership will allow Remy to continue developing the company’s Moto 3 chassis. Remy and Wayne have already made some very positive headway with the machine, and the 2012 CEV Buckler season will provide the platform for further development of the Moriwaki and Remy’s all round skills as a rider. The team tested at Catalunya Circuit this week and are ready to get back on track for strong finish to the end of the year.

“The Moriwaki/Honda partnership is very exciting for TGR,” said Wayne Gardner. “I have a long and successful history with both companies and we feel really privileged they have joined us in what we hope will be another success story for the future,” he added.

Wayne also noted that, “thanks to the hard work and dedication of the team looking after my Australian motorcycle accessory business Wayne Gardner Enterprises we’ve been able to fund the majority of TGR’s activities this year so far. Without their support and loyal commitment we couldn’t have come this far. We’re now looking forward to getting on with the job of racing.”

The next CEV Buckler race is at Catalunya Circuit on 22-24 June.

500cc 世界チャンピオン、ワイン・ガードナーの 14 歳の息子は、モリワキエンジニアリン グとホンダのサポートを受け、スペイン選手権第 4 戦の舞台に戻ってくる。チームパート ナーの財政難による資金問題で、前回のレースを欠場したレミーだが、今はレースに向け てやる気満々だ。 「モリワキとホンダが、またレースをする機会を作ってくれて、信じられない。」と大喜び のレミー。「前回のレースをテレビ観戦している時間が辛かった。でも今は、早くコースに 出てシーズンの残された時間で出来る限り多くの事を学びたい。モリワキとホンダ、それ から他の全てのスポンサーやパートナーのサポートに対し、本当に、本当に感謝している。 凄く嬉しいし、みんなが僕を信じてくれた事を誇りに思う。その人達のために、常にベス トを尽くす。」と続けた。 モリワキとのパートナーシップにより、レミーは今後もモリワキ製 Moto3 シャシーの開発 を継続する。レミーとワインは、これまでにもすでにマシンを進歩させて来た。スペイン 選手権 2012 年シーズンは、モリワキマシンと、ライダーとしてのレミーの、さらに続く開 発の場となる。チームは今週、カタルーニャでテストを行い、シーズンの終わりを良い結 果で迎えられるよう、サーキットに戻る準備は出来ている。 「モリワキ・ホンダとのパートナーシップは TGR チームにとって、非常にエキサイティン グだ。」とワイン・ガードナー。 「この 2 社とは長い成功の歴史があり、新たなサクセスス トーリーになると期待している我々の活動に、彼らが参加してくれたことを光栄に感じて いる。」 またワインは、「オーストラリアでのバイク用品ビジネスである、ワイン・ガードナー・エ ンタープライズを支えてくれているチームの努力と熱心さに感謝する。そのお陰で TGR 活 動資金の多くを賄えている。彼らのサポートや誠意が無ければ、ここまで来ることは出来 なかった。今は、レーシングチームとしての仕事をこなして行く事を楽しみにしている。」 とコメントした。
