    Intercom – Sociedade Brasileira de Estudos Interdisciplinares da Comunicação 43º Congresso Brasileiro de Ciências da Comunicação – VIRTUAL – 1º a 10/12/2020 The Voice: do Corpo-Candidato ao Corpo-Commodity1 Erika Silva e Souza de ALMEIDA2 Pontifícia Universidade Católica, São Paulo, SP RESUMO Este artigo tem como corpus os candidatos da primeira e terceira temporadas do The Voice (EUA). O objetivo é problematizar a participação dos candidatos finalistas e a forma como são produzidos e conduzidos ao longo de uma temporada. A hipótese é a existência de um processo de moldagem desenvolvido pelo programa, e aprimorado ao longo de suas temporadas, que transforma corpos-candidatos em corpos-commodities, intervindo diretamente na indústria musical e nos mercados que ela envolve. A fundamentação teórica se apoia, sobretudo, na Teoria Corpomídia, de Katz e Greiner (2001). PALAVRAS-CHAVE: The Voice, reality shows musicais, corpo-commodity, corpomídia, música na televisão. Na economia, commodities são, em sua maioria, matérias-primas, recursos básicos, produtos agrícolas ou de mineração, produtos não especializados produzidos em massa. A „commoditização‟ de um produto ocorre quando ele perde sua diferenciação, na maioria das vezes, em função da difusão do conhecimento necessário para produzi-lo. Ou seja, um produto pode ter muito valor de mercado, mas, à medida que muitos países adquirem a tecnologia necessária para sua produção, ele se torna uma commodity. O açúcar era um artigo de luxo na Europa até o século XVIII, e hoje é uma commodity produzida em mais de 100 países. A hipótese que sustenta este artigo é a de que, no The Voice, os candidatos se tornam corpos-commodities, tomando o termo emprestado da economia, no sentido apresentado no dicionário.
